the dates will be.

Sunday the 7th of november

Sunday the 12th of december

there maybe a few more put in the mix so i'll keep everyone updated if any more news comes to hand.

leathers are whats preferred. But if you have a two piece nylon jacket and pants that can be zipped together that would be accepted. Then obviously you just need gloves, helmet, boots etc

Ask at your local shoe repairs guys. They may be able to fit a zip or know someone who can! Then you are out on the track!
Or ask around for a set of second hand leathers! Or if you have any road riding friends they may lend you a set.

BEG BORROW OR PIMP YOURSELF out to get on the track. You wont regret it! The track that is NOT the selling yourself.....maybe you will who can tell!!??

How big are you KHB? I've got an old 1-piece that, er, shrunk
It's not stylish, but you can have it cheap

Keep ya ears to the ground and on the papers, I picked up my A Stars 2 peice for $350.00. (second hand) Bargin!

Only use them as back ups as they are not as comfy as my Tanako 11 year old ones:eek:.

The Tanako do seem to have shrunk though and now look more like lycra than leather!:D Still have never lost any skin with them though and that is always a plus.

The A Stars are good for the road though.

as mentioned above, keep your eyes open, I picked up a set of walden miller leathers that fit me almost perfectly for $100 from a bike shop (one of the mechanics old sets).

Is it actually a rule that leathers are required, draggins and a jacket not good? Seems strange.

Interesting that the question about the expense of buying a set of leathers for track riding always comes up. Cheap insurance when you think about it.

But if that were the case then every time i go riding with my dirt tyres on, with a mixture of bitumen and dirt i should be wearing a full leather suit? Or motards for that case?

How about we keep to the topic of 'future Tailembend Supermoto dates' and other directly related stuff here
and continue with the Leather's v other riding apparel discussion in the 'Leathers' thread here Leathers - SupermotoAus

Its all getting a bit disjointed. ;)

mods to tidy up isle 3..

OK, just spoken to Jo Malloy from Tailembend Motorsport Park.

Supermoto at Tailembend Motorsport Park comes under Motorcycling Australia's, Road Racing General Competition Rules.

here; http://www.ma.org.au/fileadmin/user_upload/Documents/MOMS/2010_MoMS_Files/2010_MOMS_15.pdf

that basically states in 15.4.2.1 that 1 or 2 piece leathers 'or other material of similar or greater durability' and full back protector, boots, gloves and approved helmet etc. Which for a race meeting would be adhered to.

However, in doing its best to promote the sport in SA and getting people to turn up and have fun at a track day and as the organizer of the track days, Jo would be happy to take any questions you may have. :) .......Just get out there and ride.....

Where?
There is a travelling discount warehouse doing the rounds in Victoria ATM - Traralgon Showgrounds last weekend.
$250 for a set of one piece leathers and boots for $75 / gloves for $30
Reasonable looking stuff and certainly comply with GCR's.
