Anyone up for a ride somewhere on either Saturday/Saturday night in Melbourne?
The missus wants to see the family.
This weekend is track day time, but I havent had a response from the email I sent to Braxton regards the track usage.
That is one option, the other is just get together somewhere and eat, drink, talk shit...
Thoughts, and those who would be interested in coming?

Poor not-so-old Neil!
Cant you blokes think of somewhere better, no offence Neil,
You have a lovely house,
But it doesnt give Neil any option.
Dont you blokes like Nando's, or some special pizza house, or Taco Bills or something?
It gives a location that leaves no dishes, goes when you want them to go etc...
Where are you 2 dirt poofs playing?
Nunawading?
Maybe we could have a ride over to watch you 2 fags throw minimal 2 stroke roost at each other, while we laugh at you thinking you are stylin'
So come on, be a bit creative!
Besides I thought I saw a thread recently around someone wanting to take part in some urban mayhem...
Neil, got that spiffy camera hooked up on the new 610 yet?
I am looking forward to viewing the said beast... ;)

Haven't got the cam set up yet, but shouldn't be too hard to do. Maybe I should have a look at that tonight when I drop the oil :)

I guess I am making excuses!!
Last time I rode I was riding really tight and couldn't hang on very long maybe half a lap so I want to try and get into it a lottle slower.
There is nothing to know about the Pizza shop :D
Wobbly
18-07-2006, 06:49 PM
Now the way I remember it, and correct me if I'm wrong here muzz, is that it isn't the ride to the pizza shop that's as much of a problem as the ride from it......

Well after all that,
How many are gonna want to ride out somewhere on Saturday daytime/evening?
No one up for a bit of fun?
Should I save my fuel and stay home, doing stunts in the street for the neighbours?
Social rides they say?
Yes there is a story, sad as it is, about a new Husky and trying to back into a laneway in first gear followed by a para-roll over the nature strip while the bike thumped away on its side at idle....
So you have no excuse Ash,
I asked if you liked Nando's to get away from that bad karma...
Flash
20-07-2006, 11:40 AM
I not a big fan of Nando's but I'll still be there!!

I will be in Melbourne, Kilsyth, about 4pm tomorrow (friday) and are open to options for both venue for the said noshin' and crappin' on, and are time flexible too.
Jeez, I sort of feel a bit like a hooker with those open arrangements..
The aforementioned mayhem can take place as we go... ;)
I will be able to check threads in Melbourne, so I will stay tuned or I can be contacted on 0401255450...
I will be doing the rounds in the morning on Saturday, (Ringwood bike Shops) and no doubt will call in on you Neil... 8)

After running into Neil at A1 this morning,
I rode the new Aprilia SVX450.
Good bike for the 6 or so kms on the clock, and not able to give it a good serve.
Vibration was at a minimum given the V-twin engine even with such minimal k's on it.
It turned well, although with the big 180 tyre it seemed to be a bit over-tyred in the rear, with the sensation that the front was low.
All the same very nice ergonomically, had a definifive growl from the pipes when I did give it a bit, and certainly seemed to me, once run in properly would be a very very quick and nimble bike.
Now just a wait, (1month) for the 550 to hit our shores...
Keeping a keen eye on A1  ....
So with all that done,
Who's up for tonight and where?

Ok, I'm thinking nandos sounds good, so how about lets shoot for the nandos on swanston street, just near the corner of la trobe st? We could rendevous there around 6.30, or gather at my place around 5.45 for the ride in? We'll roll through bakers rd in richmond around 6.00-6.15...

OK, sounds like a good plan to me mate.
See you at 5.45 at your place. :)

Thanks for the ride report Muzz :prayer: :jizz:
Would you buy one for the road? For the track?

I recon due to the rebuild frequency and the warranty gone with derestriction you'd have to look at it as a track day/hills only bike! I'd even trailer it to the hills!!
I'ts a bit dissapointing really to have such a cool bike but not be able to enjoy it all the time!!
Wobbly
23-07-2006, 10:16 AM
Dunno about having to trailer it to the hills, I think that's a bit excessive, but I don't think you'd want to put the bike through the mundane daily commuting cycle - you'd eat up many hours just screwing around doing something you could do just as well on a much less focussed bike.
But as a hills/weekend play thing, hell yeah!

Btw thanks for the evening out, nosh and crapping on last night. Good to meet up with SMC625 and to catch up with flash, sibbo and muzz of course  We'll have to organise a few more social things methinks so that we don't all end up having totally translucent skin from staring at computer monitors :lol2:

It was a good night! I'm thinking it would be good to try and do a trip to NSW and meet the boys(and Girl) from QL maybe tie it in with a track day at Oran park or something just an idea. :-k

I am sure that removing the bars you could lie it down in the back of the Magna stationwagon. You could take it even further and design like a giant draw so that you could insert and withdraw the bike with ease. Then you could put a logo on your car (Toolbox). And pull out the best tool for fun................a motard.
Hey it is 5.30 am and I haven't woken up yet...sort of.

Why not just put a front tyre stop in it and cut a big slot out of the roof? :lol2:

Further to our conversation regarding the taxibility of prizes and the like. I was correct and prises are not taxible (except in some examples).
