Now SUNDAY 15th
I don't know about anyone else, but my dirt/road riding ratio has gone out the window lately, so this week I'll throw the little wheels on and go for a blat so I can bed in my new front disc and get a bit of feel before hitting the track on the 22nd:up:
All are welcome to join me, including noobies, be good to meet some more guys from here.
Leaving the TTG pub at 9am, I know it's a late start but hopefully the traffic won't be to bad.

Twatty - the Clare Pony Express is on this Sunday. You should bring the Husky out for a day in the dirt.

Fuck man, I'll need a bit more notice than 2 days to get an MA licence and enter a race!
Meanwhile, I'm really loving being back on the dirt (so much so I reckon I'll be going back to mixing my fuel next year...) so here's a couple of pics off my phone from last week. Took 5 min to lift 'em out and a shit load of cleaning to get the salt off:down:

My day/weekend has gone to hell.Too busy to ride.
Sadly as I was going to go out and do the Pony express.
Gotta do services/repairs and tyre changes on my fleet of postie scooters!
I have done too many slides on the scooter so am out of tread on the rear tyre! Who wouldve thought you can destroy a rear tyre so quickly on the dirt on a postie scooter! Almost 2 months from a rear tyre!
Lucky I have ordered 30 of the tyres to see me through.

Twatty - you can get a day licence and enter on the day.
And you can pit under my pit shade with me and a few other guys.
I also have a mate who's looking for a partner if you'd prefer to ride Pony Express, (as I know that you're a bit of a softie).
It's the most easy going, but bloody great fun enduro of the year. It's also my favourite ride of the year.
But, if you'd rather go for a wet ride on the bitumen in the hills, dodging cars and patches of moss on the corners, I understand.
Weather forecast is terrible for Sunday.

$ mate, I just need to know at the start of the pay cycle.
I'm not angry that you didn't tell me about it, just very dissapointed.

Dude - there's been a thread on it on DBW and I posted a thread on the Ariel Club forum. It's also been openly displayed on the MASA website as per the link above for weeks.
I didn't post a thread about it on this forum, as I was recently reminded that this is a motard forum - not a dirt bike forum. I can't win.
You've never come to any of these events with me, so cut me a little slack for not specifically sending out a personal invitation to this one.
Hell mate - I'll lend you the $100- til pay day if it means you can come along - I'd love to see you there! (I'm already loaning my 505 to another mate who's had a nightmare of a time trying to get his WR engine rebuilt in time)

Yeah, I haven't been on DBW for ages, and have never looked at those other sites.
Post these rides up, we've got a dirt section here for a reason!
$100 is pretty reasonable actually, thought it would be more. Thanks for the offer.
To be totally honest though (and I hate saying this coz it sounds like an excuse) my new position at work has strained things at home significantly, and even the most arogant, self centered partner like me needs to take some time to stoke the home fires occasionally, this is one of those times. A couple of hours in the hills is better than a full day away.
I'll be in touch and come to the next arial meeting though, then make a decision after the AMTRA ride next month.
Good luck on Sunday!
