ok today sunday was a total wash out, way to much wet stuff falling from sky,now if weather holds off anyone up for ride next sunday morning :roost: ....say 830am from gully pub to somewhere over the rainbow!!!:D

Not sure if I'm riding sat or sun yet, but if there's to much crap on the road, I'll be ducking up as many dirt roads as possible!

hey i ride my bike everyday to work if its raining...but just didn't want to be wet for hours place no-one else was going...plus doing 100kph round corners up in hills in the wet not my cap of tea!!!

Me either, thats why I ride sumo, when the rain hits, we go exploring, cruising up quiet little side roads/tracks, just trying to find something new and interesting. More often than not just as much fun as 'riding spiritedly'

Acusa Park pony express. I entered the iron man class and did about 100k's in the sloppiest, slipperiest mud I've ever ridden in. I don't know where I finished, but it was nowhere near the front.
It was 3 hours of good, hard ride time in preparation for Finke, but it wasn't fun. Sitting at home in the warm lounge room watching a movie would've been a smarter option.

KTM39...when you go off road again put sponges in side of engines and in exhaust manifold pipe under radiator to stop mud build up and stop engine over heating... it really stops to much mud weight being added to bike!!! and when you get 5 wash off mud from sponges and put back into engine....if you come out sunday morning i will explain more

We usually only do 100-150km, no hard rules though, if anyone has something they want to do, most of us will give anything a go twice.

I rode mine for the first time since the crash today, think my bars may be bent but it's kinda hard to tell with unequal shoulders. +1000 on the COLD! Guess some adrenaline will be in order to help us ignor it!

Ride was fun today, wet, cold, and slippery. Did some dirt roads, love being out amongst the trees when its raining, made the surface grippy too.
Good to meet you Pommie, We'll have show you some more of our hidden treasures over the next couple of months. Today was the first time I'd seen a big XTX in action, and I gotta say I was impressed, despite the physical size of it, it was never far behind, and gave me the hurry up in the dirt (though I was riding like a girly-man today), Sounds awesome with those cans on it too.

got to say the ride today was really good wet cold road.. i got kinda close to some trees when braking in the dirt, nearly lost it when over taking cyclist and back wheel spun on centre white line...cheers twatty on coments on my bike for a xtx660 its got some grunt but didnt want to push it due to roads as ive a fear of slidding into barriers and other stuff so i know how much to push it, but as soon as the road was dry i opened the bike up and was then right behind you...push push push lol...

I know what you mean about a fear of sliding into barriers, my arms and knee are still in that stage where they kind of have skin, but it's that pink shiny stuff that is super sensitive.

As to where that pic is; it is a place you can only find if you already know it's there.
First correct guess gets a beer from me after the next ride.
