This is only a quick post to get a sample of the 896 pics I took today up, I'm sure the guys who rode will soon fill everyone in on what a TOP farkin day Tailem Bend Motorsport Park put on for South Australian Supermotards and their supermotos!
Massive thanks to everyone involved, and well done to everyone except for one particular KTM rider for keeping it rubber down and kicked out sideways;)

what an awsome day, although i had a small technical issue a big shout out goes to andrew #73 for allowing me ride his bike for half the day in another session so i could still take part. well done to the talembend motorsport people for a well run day hangn already fot next time. sweet pix twat . :D

Well now I know why all you blokes like riding tracks so much - THAT WAS AWSOME FUN!!!
Today was my first ever track day and I've gotta say, I'm hooked.
Great day, a great bunch of guys and a fantastic track.
That has to be the most fun I've had with my clothes on! Can't wait for the next one!

A big thanks to Jo, the guys from Bridgeland and anyone else involved in making this happen in SA. :D

From memory, this was the track layout from today. Some tight stuff, a fast sweeper, a top gear straight and a hairpin or two, around 800m? (I've a poor memory)

I had that going on as well Paul, thought I was getting on the rear brake too hard whilst the back was locking up as I was bangin' down the gears.. very unnerving..

Fan the clutch more Sac, that will get rid of the chatter and smooth out your slides.

I did notice a couple of times when I had the presence of mind to fan the clutch it was a lot smoother (only once or twice though, as I had enough going on to think about - like missing the corner altogether!)

I'm guessing thats what a slipper helps smoothes out Markee.. ?

Thanks Mark will give it a go. Thats where the slippers come in I guess. Took me a while to get used to the real slow tight corners but was really enjoying them by the end of the day.

if you have the clutch in on ya down shift it will make everything a whole lot smoother and then go back say two gears.. get on the brakes slowly let out the clutch..the slide will be better.. you shouldnt be locking it up anyway. could try a stiffer rear also

Hi Dave yeah it was really going beserk a few times. Rowan on the honda with green leathers had none of it tho, man that looked good in the reverse direction at the hairpin.

G'day sac, which one were you?
I noticed the dude on the KX had the back wheel hopping about 4 inches throughout the day.
Don't worry about fanning the clutch, just pull it in a bit when it starts hopping, it'll soon become second nature.
