Did someone mention another NSW group ride?

Date to be confirmed, but it will be in a month or two.
The NSW Supermoto Club has also offered to meet us at lunch time and put on a BBQ for a few bucks each.

Route option 1 - North
A few ferry crossings (these are free), 20 km of smooth dirt, some good twisties.
Morning route (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=berowra,+nsw&daddr=-33.291508,151.2323+to:Wisemans+ferry&hl=en&geocode=FePx_v0dJV4CCSkLllPJrFANazHQ_AJxHp0ETw%3B% 3BFZE4Av4d0MX_CClDw5_UvkENazHU6OfWdRbSYg&mra=dme&mrcr=0,1&mrsp=1&sz=10&dirflg=h&sll=-33.302986,151.331177&sspn=0.282351,1.215363&ie=UTF8&ll=-33.400492,151.33667&spn=0.282035,1.215363&z=10)

Route option 2 - South
No dirt, a bit more highway riding, but Mac Pass is awesome.
Morning route (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=loftus,+nsw&daddr=Sir+Bertram+Stevens+Dr+to:otford,+nsw+to:-34.585736,150.623932&hl=en&geocode=FbV3-P0dqNsACSnrwS5w08ASazFgJi1-3FFBSw%3BFboY9_0d1TUBCQ%3BFXXy9f0dYyAACSlx7Rbcqt0S azHLKyYzOYRifA%3B&mra=dme&mrcr=1&mrsp=3&sz=11&via=1&dirflg=h&sll=-34.625298,150.666504&sspn=0.241833,0.652313&ie=UTF8&ll=-34.328694,150.989227&spn=0.485388,1.304626&z=10)

There was the idea of a loop through the Blue Mountains, but it is winter and I am soft.

Cast your vote.

Hi Gonzo,

If you end up going south you should definitely include Mt Keira road. It will cut bit of the freeway riding and avoids some of the towns around Gong. Also check out Marshall Mountain rd just off Dapto. Not too twisty, but it avoids going down the freeway and its nice road through some farm land. It joins to North Macquarie road that will get you back to Illawara hwy. And there is a creek crossing too

What Jefred said! I'll go for a drive on Friday or saturday with my gps in tracking mode to get that route I was talking about going south.

RNP, Bulli Pass, Mt Kiera, farms (Marshall Mt rd, North Macq rd), water crossing, Macq Pass etc.

Sounds good, my knowledge of the South isn't what it should be.

Bugger south & west in winter. I am naturally cold intolerant.
Better route would be meet at hornsby, wisemens via galston gorge, laughtondale gully, st albans and around back via old rd. Too chilly for high speed stuff like putty & south.

This is supposed to be a good route around the mountains/mudgee (alternate is via Putty Rd coming back), bit long for most on a tard though (550km), you'd be walking crooked for a week.

I haven't done the loop myself so can't fully vouch for it :)

Bylong Valley Way - have done it a few times.
Good, but an epic day. The 450's will have to stop at lunch time and adjust their valves.

The property I've mentioned (too many times!) is on that road, Murrumbo.

Im definitely keen. North sounds good to me being on the Beaches myself. Ferry rides and dirt roads sounds awesome, but Im happy to go south as long as I can stop at Cronulla and have an ass transplant.

I think north is the way.

Shall we put forward a date for the ride?

+1

Being from Berowra, North sounds good :)

Looks like it's North!
8 votes to 5.

Not to say we can't head South on another ride. Infact, we probably will.
I'll start up a new thread with a date picked soon.
