got it at last, it's so realistic. You can race 125,250,600,1000 and SIDECARS. As you gain higher placings you unlock different options (bikes, tyres, technical stuff) It's not available in Australia (yet). Since I got it I am suffering from lack of sleep

I can remember reading that it was only going to be realeased in the UK, though that was way back in 04.

PC?

I priced a ps2 the other week with Gran Tourismo 4 and was surprised that it was $250.

Dear Santa...

Sorry Neil " We anticipate that the next version of the game will be available on multi-platforms. TT Superbikes is only available for the PlayStation2 platform. " .I got my copy from Amazon.co.uk, but they will only send it to UK. I did see it on an Aus web site for games but it was to pre-order it. I had to buy the PS2 to play the game :D
It was released in time for the TT (mid May 2005)

Calling all gamers!

Will the UK version run on these upside down playstations or do you need to chip them...

AMA Supermoto is on FOX2 now and is round 1 from Road America.
No tape handy so ...

Edit: Found tape at last minute and is a wet event, no dirt and no urban cross

They need more dirt, and not this hard packed may as well be asphalt type dirt real motocross dirt, and more supercross like jumps not speed humps that I could drive my car over. There is to much of an imbalance already I recon.. Just my 2 cents worth

How is there an imbalance? Where are all the road racers carving up the dirt boys? Why does everything have to be supercross?

Seems fine to me - the urbancross stuff is good, but you'd def want to keep the speeds/height down with this stuff as otherwise you'll have no uninjured riders left to compete. I'd reckon if you modelled the offroad stuff on FIM outdoor motorcross you'd be right...to be honest most of this supercross stuff is a bit boring in comparisson...

come on neil there are nothing wrong the big jumps ,if you can jump :poke: :poke: i am not talking about doubbles with a 12 foot face and 60 feet apart [-o< ,but supermoto has to have it all backing in ,sliding out and air time a 50-60 foot table top is not to big its all about the take off ramp angle .
we dont have the top speed of road racing of the huge jumps of supercross so we need a mixture 2 foot high bumps you hit in second gear is not going to work for the croud or wil get the ex motocross guys to swap over ,i am not the best jumper it scares the crap out of me but thats why i love it ,but you will never know untill you have a go ,just remember bones mend but memories last forever,or untill you land on your head again

There was the urban cross section as the track dried during the event.
Troy Herfoss made a spectacular get off over the big table top after clipping the rear wheel of I think Kunzel mid air and sent both off balance and necessitating ejection before landing hard on the flat at the bottom of the jump.
I'm all for the big table tops but with good drive preceeding them, not that wishy-washy supercross dirt that all you get is wheelspin and cross rutting up the face of the jump, and urban cross scaffold jumps fit the bill.
Bring on the split lines through the urban cross section and a choice of 40'/60'/80' tops and differing angles also to allow for equal distance/time equation, given the bigger jumps will have flatter transition to carry the distance without the wheel bending, hub crushing height.

Yep, I reckon more tracks like they did one year with the old golden handlebars (guidon d'or) with different routes would be ace

22-09-2005, 09:03 PM
That would be Bercy in '01 maybe?

Would have been around then, they had a high road and a low road, made for good spectating

We'd better break out our track design plans soon then ;)

Muzzard
22-09-2005, 09:10 PM
Yeah,
I remember watching it later thinking to myself,
Mmmm,
Indoor and 2 storey would be so different, especially if the split was at the level change.
1 group could go high over a jump onto a step up mezanine, and then corner and step off while the others went round underneath. ;)

they did the same this year also i have some of it on dvd ,you can either do a big tabletop or a slower rythm section ,the table top was about 1 sec quicker but more risky, its a good idea i think .
we have a problem over here as we dont have a dirt section you can run as its been under water all season, but the jumps are to small anyway ,so none of the superx or enduro guys will come because they get smoked on all the fast corners on the tar ,and if you build the dirt to big we will loose some of the road riders and the enduro guys still wont come ,i think these guys that ride enduro must be a bunch of poof's :poke:

Muzzard
23-09-2005, 07:48 AM
They ride enduro, because they have no navigation skills and its a good excuse to use the Silva...
They cant ride greasy sticks up dogs arses, so they piss off into the bush thinking we wont know they fall off over every obstacle...
Supercross riders like the feel of bumps under their arses.

Super motard came about to compare road, motocross, and supercross riders and now maybe even enduro. There should be an even amount of of all, however you wouldn't be able to have "full" supercross jumps as the road guys would just go home. I agree with Muzz you would have to have a decent run up and up ramp(packed dirt or maybe even concreate/asphalt on permanent tracks) as far as urban cross goes I would rather crash on dirt than asphalt or steel. But really, these bullshit excuse for jumps we have, my wife would be able to do and she would have no fear doing it!! I think table tops are the go if they are going to be big (height and length) I would love to see big triples and doubles not to mention stutters but I understand you couldn't really do it until there is a "specific" type of rider for this form of racing(which will never happen) Bring on the Motocross dirt

Excel and talon all in a stronger 17" size I'd hope this wouldn't happen

Muzzard
23-09-2005, 10:24 AM
Still can happen Ash,
The tyre walls are so soft it doesnt take a huge impact to pinch the tyre edges, (Look at the lateral cracks in the sidewalls of my Distanzias from big jumps offroad) and then collapse the edges of the rim beads.
I have seen Talon hubs destroyed also in offroad racing in New South Wales, some on solo's and some on sidecars so they are not indestructible.
Agreed mate, Stronger than your average bear, but still able to be damaged.
I would not expect to do any damage on the tracks such as we are now seeing AMA using (Urban Cross), nor ordinary offroad adventures...

I have no intention of jumping big enough to break 17's. We'll not on my commuter any way. :D

surely if you want to compare mx, sx road riders, you need components of all the types of track. so you can ride a road bike (modified) and still be competitive. so by having some high speed tar (road), rutted shit (mx) and big doubles (sx) you should be able to have all the bikes going crazy.

You could have a component of enduro as well, but is more hard work.

The best track would see modified road bikes, motards (as we know them) and mx/sx bike (knobbies) all scooting round a rough, fast, jumps track.

imagine the crashes!!!!
