Damn. If it was after the Queen's B'day weekend, I'd be there with bells on. This is too close to Finke for me to convert my bike back to motard and risk damaging my bike/body.
I hope this is only the start of many ride days there.

there is power at the shed which is a little way from the track. What we've organised are some honda generators and powerboards to have at the pits to run tyre warmers. if you have a generator please bring it along so there will be enough power for everyone.
unsure on number cap exactly, so make sure you get your forms filled out and sent in to guarantee your spot. They are trying to avoid having on the day entries.
you do pay on the day. it will be cash only and try and have the correct change. (some change will be available, but they won't to keep things easy as possible.)
make sure you bring your license as well. If you have a national license and you forget to bring it you will have to buy a day license or no ride. (so double check you have it in your wallet)

This ride day is fantastic! Braden, do you know what the track open/close times will be? Rider groupings and session format? Or is it just a free-for-all?
I'm really annoyed I can't ride in it, but will definitely come out to spectate for part of the day. 2nd half of the year puts me in a much better position to do a track day, so looking forward to this one being a success.

track will be open from 7:30am with riding to start at 9:00am.
i think its open until 5:00pm
classes will depend on how many people rock up, then probably split into a fast and slow group. Maybe more if there's heaps of people.

Braden, I've a few mates who are thinking of coming out to see what all the fuss is over ".. these Motard thingys.." :snigger: (squids)
They are looking at bringing their familys/kids and making a day of it. Is there going to be an entrance fee for non-riders, and if so how much?
braden_cocks

spectators are welcome and there won't be a entree fee for them

Here's more info I was emailed by track owner (Jo Malloy):
Times are; arrival between 7.30 and 8.30, riders briefing at 8.45 track time at 9. Break for lunch 12 – 1. Day ends about 5.
We have designed a number of courses for the day. We plan to have three different but similar courses on the 16th, just to mix it up a little. As far as sessions and groupings, we will decide closer to the day after receiving the majority of entries. This is so we can establish how many of the riders have experience or are beginners, and just how many riders we ‘end up’ catering for. It is a priority that the practice is safe for everyone. Having said that, yes we will be flexible to a degree. Again it will be based on safety and also the performance of riders throughout the day.
It is important that everyone goes home at the end of the day – happy, and wanting to come back to support the Sport of Motard.
