Motocross Come 'n' Try Day - 7th March 2010

This is technically in NSW but it is only 15 minutes drive over the boarder and within 2 hrs of Brisbane. Would be a good opportunity to get in some dirt practice before Stanthorp Supermoto round. Track is hard packed natural terrain, however the start straight is grass. There are some pictures on the club site.

Following details are from http://kyogledirtbikeclub.com.au/

7 March 2010 - Come and Try Day - this is a day for non-licensed riders to have a go at motocross. You need to bring a bike, boots to cover your ankles and a helmet. Club Membership is required and can be arranged on the day.

Club membership is $25 for the year and gives you access to cheap fees for the MX, enduro & trail rides the club hosts. I don't think there is any additional cost but I hope to have confirmation of this soon.

I will post more details when they become available.

It should be OK, 5 year old kids on 50's ride the same track. I think the track is on Dean Ferris's parents property that he used to train on so it won't be a flat track type course.

That could be fun, sounds like an ideal place for a dirt gumby like me to have a play

You have a 125 don't you? Is it in working order?

The easiest track I have ridden is Warwick. The sandy loam is great if you fall off. It's just like falling over at the beach. On thursday they hold 3hr straight practice sessions for only $10.

Lol, Warwick sounds perfect for me! It's just a bit far for a mid-week trip. $10 sounds good!

I've got an RM125, it's in pretty good shape, needs a few more things done but I'm super picky, it's perfectly ridable.

I doubt you will have a problem with MX Daws. I am crap at road racing but I can ride on a MX track easily and I can't remember the last time I fell off. It would be alot easier to do this come and try day without alot of faster rider riding past and cutting through your line.

Count me in for sure. Thanks for posting Ash !!

After this weekend the bike will be back in dirt trim and am looking forward having a go at dirt. Have had plenty of experience on quads but not much on dirt bikes.

I'm still waiting on start times etc from kyogle club, hopefully I will get them soon.

I go MX riding every weekend, if your looking to go for a ride let me know. I'm heading up to ripley for a ride saturday morning but I'm only going for 3hrs.

A bit of a bugger, but that is mother nature.

Will be at Stanthorpe next weekend, so will miss this unfortunately. Bike is now back to motard setup.

Will keep an eye out for next dirt weekend after Stanthorpe.
