As above the system is up for sale seperatly from the bike, am selling due to getting a new 05 with twin system. This system wont fit - bummer.

It was advertised for $1500 on ebay but that seems to much or no one wants the pipe that bad.

havent they only changed the zorst to put 2 mufflers on?

i would have thought that the zorst would fit and maybe just a bracket might be needed to mount it?? engine and frame are the same as the earlier ones arent they??

It's more than likely that it will fit both the '05 & '06 SM & SMC.
I can cross reference the numbers on the headers between the different years and see if they have changed, that will give us a slight insight.
I will also check the frames to see if they are different, clearance in the area behind the donk doesn't seem to be an issue on the later model bikes. The angle of the subframe may when it comes to mounting the cannister.
The trouble is, most guys with twin pipes on their bikes wants to keep them, even if the weight of two cans v's one is detrimental to performance. The benefit of the twin cans can only be aesthetic, if there is a difference in performance between the stock twin & stock single mufflers I dare say your average rider wouldn't even notice it. :)

my mates 03 model 640 SM is sitting in the garage at my place (my old bike) ... me thinks that he needs a zorst LOL ... mind you he wouldnt buy it ... but i might try and convince him :) ... $600 was it :)?

$ 600 buck won't get you a sinker form Staintune.
To follow up the pipe will definatly not fit the 05 models, however i have heard that the factory teams have a single pipe but it is a different shape again to the single upto 04 one.

At this stage i have swapped over all the carby, cam and suspension to the 05 and it really cracks even with the pea shooters in the exhaust.

Next step is to put the old 03 back into road trim and get it registered for sale.
