What is the biggest sive tyre you can fit onto the rear of a DRZ, will a 160 fit with out any probs???

A 160 would probably be about it, on a 4.25/4.5" rear, but expect some chain slap, and the tyre would be pinched up a bit and not as nice as a 150. You could more likely squeeze in a 5" rim and run a 170, but it would be awfully tight and you'd definately get a lot of slap.
In reality there is no good reason not to go for a 150, unless you can get 160's very cheap :)

I reckon a 5.00" rim and a 165/55-17 and some good wheel building and chain guide work would be fine...
It wouldn't do the road thing real well though, as the tyre is more suited on a motard to braking than accelerating and if you going slippin' into every corner, Mr. Plod will ask you eventually to please put your bike on his ute.. :roll:
If you get the tyre pinched, or flattened out, it will severely affect the handling...
