Hi all,
I've only been a member of the site for a little over a week; I posted an intro and some pics of my new wr250x in the main forum(page 210 i think, in the pics thread), check them out if you're interested.
I thought i'd let you know about an iPhone app i've developed called SpeedTrap. You can probably guess; it shows you the locations of mobile speed cameras around Adelaide. You can view the locations on a Google map or just as a daily list. It also displays road weather alerts from the BOM(not that we're getting many alerts issued now :).
If you don't have an iPhone you can use the Facebook version from your computer.
I don't think you even have to have a facebook login to use it! Not sure.
The Facebook version is written with Flash and doesn't cost a cent. However it is a bit limited compared to the iPhone version as it cannot display your current location using GPS (of course). The facebook version tries to mimick the iPhone version as much as possible. To give people the experience of the real thing.
The iPhone version is not free, but very is affordable for most people at $2.50.
Here is the url (iTunes link) for the iPhone version:

Here is the url for the Facebook app:

I hope you guys don't think this is just spam. It's a pretty useful app. I use it quite a bit and even more now i'm riding a 250cc instead of a 50cc.
The idea is that if you're thinking about the speed camera locations, you're thinking about your speed. Which has to be safer for everyone, right? :)
The app is meant to be used before you begin your trip not while driving or riding.
cheers,
- shaun
