Okay, well while the bike is of the road getting my zorst fixed I'd thought I would take some gear of the bike to expose all the vent hoses so as I can collected up in a catch can.
I have the following parts for this project : Red Bull can. errrrr yep , thats it. SOOOooooo I'm of the the hard ware store soon to buy some hose but my question is .... Where Do I mount the Red Bull can? I have seen them on many a tard bu cant help but wonder if the heat from the zorst and enginge would melt the hose/tubes?
If you guys have any points/tip and or pix, that would be great ...
Thanks :)

If by "did its job" you mean "burst into flames really well" then yep, you're spot on!
I use a small black plastic container (used to have truck wash in it!) as a catch can myself and mounted it on the front of the motor, using 2 bolts that hold on the magneto cover. I just made the bracket for it myself out of some scrap alloy and did a bit of bending, just making sure there weren't any pinch bends by bending it around a screwdriver and then a spray can! Then the catch can just gets zip tied on and the lines fed into it. It sits relatively close to the header, maybe a couple of inches away, but never gets anywhere near hot enough to melt it...

Here's a few pics of what I'm talking about ... actually way closer than a couple of inches, more like < 20mm! And the catch tank is plastic too :snigger: Where else would you run a catch tank for petrol  :)

Btw, any "you should clean your bike" comments will fall on deaf ears - its a motard not a fairy-mobile :finga:

Bugger I was to slow with "notice the cleanlyness of a real motarder"
So is my bike a fairy or me for cleaning it once a month or so?? My wife will be interested to know that her other half is..............a fairy.

Yes it is. Get out there and ride through some bog holes and refuse to clean it for at least a month, maybe 6 :D ;)

Mine looks like it has been to hell and back at the moment, might have to wash it now..............especially if I am riding to the races next weekend!!!

I took it off before the fire incident, so the "udder" was not to blame.
