Hi,

Ive been living in Edithvale since September. I have just finished all the stressfull stuff such as finding a place to live. A job to pay for it and I have spent all my savings on exciting things like forks, a kettle, Iorning board, plug in air freshners, the F'n list goes on...
What I did manage to get myself before she spent it on more shite was a lovely big Husaberg 650fe with full Reg.
I have fitted her with road tyres so i can commute to work and have got the nobs for the weekend. (In a perfect world i would have the spare set of rims but... $$$.)

The Berg is a weapon, a real hooligans tool on the road. Its good fun cuttin the traffic goin to work.

I was away camping in Eildon the other week and tried trail riding for the first time, i went by myself and the woman but after we set up camp a few locals introduced themselves and invited me out for a ride the next morning, it was awesome! The big Berg just needed pointed in the right direction and she climbed every obstacle and went places I couldn't belive.

I'm going to Frankston MX track tomarrow to see how she can handle the jumps. I'll miss the racing at Calder but riding time is more important to me these days as the weather is fantastic. In Ireland it rains... all the time.

The only thing i can complain about is the colour scheme... I know it shouldn't matter but it matters to me. I dont like the Yellow/blue thing. Ive got myself the black tank shrouds, black motard front fender, black fork and heel protectors, orbered black number plate backrounds from Ringmaster images and bought some flame decals over ebay to make it more pleasent in my eyes. In a few weeks I will have it finished.

Back home i was big into road bikes. All of them I converted so that they would accept Renthal MX bars. The "Streetfighter" scene here is dead.(maybe somone will tell me different?) I own a heavily modified Kawasaki GPZ 1170 which will be in the post in the next few months. But for now Im really enjoying my Dirtbike on the road.

How will I know if I see one of you guys on the road? Is there a secret wave I can display? Tap your head and rub your tummy at the same time? He He... Im sure I will bump into someone?

Hey there Lee, and welcome aboard! Sounds like you're enjoying your FE which is excellent - from everything I've read they seem like a real weapon, and seeing a stock standard one distance a YZ450 race bike on the straight at motard prac last tuesday shows that they don't lack in the stomp department!

Where about do you work, in the city? I commute in each day on my DRZ from the eastern subs into the CBD and, yep, its definately fun! Especially cutting past all the lemmings shoe horned into their tin boxes...! Not sure about the secret signal yet, but probably something to do with standing on the back wheel I'd say...! (or at least trying to ).

Hopefully we'll have the VSMR guard stickers soon so it'll be easier to spot us, but otherwise just look for anything with 'funny wheels' 8)

I work? just off Keys Road on the Warrigal Road. About 10mins away from the house.
Can someone tell me where the local speed cameras are? Do they all face forward?

I went to the Frankston track today, no one mentioned you have to be fit for the Moto cross game! 2 laps at a time was all I could handle! Guys were nearly jumpin over me at one stage. I quickly learned to take my time and I improved a little by the end of the day.
I rode the Berg to and from the track, i got home and went for a swim in the sea, ahhh, its tough at the top...

I left for Calder at 6pm. The setup was excellent and the sun was still shinning, but to tell you the truth I was a bit fustrated at the organisation of the races. Jeez, between races seemed to take forever. The grid was not as packed as I expected (apart from the final) either. The top guys really can ride those things... No. 42. the champ was flying. It was a good evening.

Were you all camped beside the Yamaha trade stands? Were u there from the morning?

The "suicide death jump" was hilarious!

Hi Lee
I work just near you (warigal road Cheltenham) I ride my smr 450 everyday. One point I can warn you about regarding radar gun is heading south down warrigal road on the left just before you get to south road, there is a tower and plod hides his car behind it!! I know this because on Friday morning I found it out for myself. DOH

Oh and we were the ones next to the Yamaha tent.

Had a good ride up today, out through the dandenongs and such, then back for a bit of a feed at my place. Beautiful day - just a pitty we've got to go back to work tomorrow

Welcome Lee, The secret signal would by common denominator.... A wheelstand through at least 3 gears!.... Followed by a finger at everyone! While the weather is holding out we will be having a few rides, both in and out of the Metro area and there is some interest down Geelong way with Jason (POZ640) and his buddies. I havent been down the G.O.R and surrounds for a while so that looks do-able soon.
