hey there everyone.
im a new user to this forum and i thought i might share my little projects with you guys if ya dont mind too much, and perhaps you can give me some pointers on the way.
at the moment im converting a dirt bike into a super motard machine. im using a 1990 husky WR260 for the project. its a 2 stroke bike, but its a watercooled all day rider and ive done so many times without incident. so far ive made quite alot of progress in the making of this bike, especially with the help of ebay (a bike converters dream shop) ive also made a few cafe racers so im not new to the whole conversion thing.
anyhoo . . . here is a list of what ive done to the bike so far.
1] motard style twin headlight
2] crf handlebars
3] moto-rad bark busters
4] carbon fiber short stalk indicators
5] wave discs
ive also ordered some talon rims suited for the husky hubs which my father-in-law is going to show me how to lace.
im also going to order one of the new KTM digital speedo units (the old ones sucked but the newies are good) and fit it to the bike.
it was hard finding the right graphics for the husky model i have but i did find some on ebay, along with other husky graphics which i will cut up and incorperate to the whole theme of the bike.
anyhow, any advise or suggestions are all welcome as i can always learn something new. if its possible i will also post pics of the bike in progress and the finnished product once im done.
