The dollar's are :- TMCC m/ship $40 p.a. or $10 for day membership

ride cost $35 ea.

MA Rec license $85 p.a. or $25 day license

We look like have around 12 track day's this year so in this case annual licenses may be your cheapest option. I have annual ticket's cos it saves me heaps.As a rule it cost's me $75 for myself and the 2 boy's.

Symmons is only OK on a tard.:DThe front and back straight's are very long and boring..:down:However on the hairpin and the sweeper it was wicked fun going up the inside of 600 sports bikes.:D.On the bigger capacity tards i.e. 450+ it becomes more fun.
As you said slow it would make a good week of it..
For you guy's thinking about coming down,the accomodation is free at my place and I am only 2 hr's from the track.(You will need your own bedding) I can also sleep about a dozen in my rumpus room..:D

True true. Shame you aren't in my position and live about 5 minutes from the track :up: Are there any camping spots near the track at all? As I'm sure you know the DRZ sucks as for long distance, 1.5hr ride to the track... :eek:

Bit shattered as I would love to see how the real SM's get about, only been riding for about 6 or so months so not quite there on the experience :down:

But yeah, should have some cash by next month, sucks being 19 and only part time work. They don't like older people at McDonald's :down:

A bloody great day it was:D.....Until it hailed like all getup and then it just pissed down,so the day ended an hour and a half earlier than anyone wanted which was a real bummer.For a change we had more big bikes than mini's,so that made for some great action on the track and a couple of spills for a WR450 on a wet track.Anyway here are a couple of pics and there are a few short videos uploading to youtube at the moment.I will post the link when its done....Cheers

That is overnight Saturday night, ride all day Sunday, then overnight back to Melbs Sunday night in their "Ocean View Recliners" which aint no luxury beds in a cabin either, and off to work Monday morning.
And yes this is their off peak rates!

The good people at Toll Shipping have a couple of ships running into North Tassie(Burnie & Bell Bay)They would be worth talking to as my uncle uses them quite frequently.

Minimum cost for adult $110 each way,
Vehicle $79 each way,

cheapest way i can think of is to get a few of ya's, make a kitty between ya's to cover the cost of:

1 van loaded up with bikes, with a driver onto the 'Spirit' to Devonport,
the rest of ya's fly into Launceston (cheaper than Devonport airport by far) then hook up a ride with the Launceston guys down to the Highclere Kart track,
I can meet the van at Devonport and have the driver follow me to the track.
Plus us Tassie guys should be able to help out with some free accommodation...

Just get your arse down here,Wicked track, you wont regret it :up:

What a bloody awesome day.The weather was pretty kind and the track was dry albeit very cold.The first session was pretty sketchy for most of us(except Blaze,he does not give a fuck if it rains hails or shines:up:)as the track was very cold.
The sun came out for the second session and then things hotted up with about 11 bikes on the track.Eric was the most out of place as he was the only mini-moto there(there are usually 6+) but he was still very fucking hard to get around.:up:

The third session everyone went out guns blazing and it was awesome to be out there in it.Overtaking,bar bashing,nearly crashing etc.etc:eek:
It got better but shorter for the fourth session but a fair bit shorter as everyone started bail out from about 10 laps on,And in the final session Kromosone and DRZEDER went out on there own.As for the rest of us we were absolutely fucked from chasing each other around all day.:D
All the good video was taken by DRZEDER but the useless prick accidently deleted the footage:p(cos he was behind me:p)

All in all a bloody great day.

Just a brief update on Sunday's motard day:p
Firstly it was awesome because I did not crash:D

Aside from that there were only 8 bikes for the day.This was mainly due to a lot of riders going on the toy run on Saturday and complaining there arses are to sore too ride Sunday:p
We had 40 odd minute sessions that were a lot of fun with our usual fast guy's eatin g up the track:up: and chewing the old blokes up:down:
I have not had time to review my helmut cam footage yet but I will post anything worth looking at over the next couple of days.:up:

Also looking at group bookings for travel ATM so can offer a complete transport / track day / accommodation / meals package.

Not yet TK but yhey should be known in the next week or so.The kart club has been very slow posting up there own dates for this year but I believe its almost sorted.
