Hey guys, my 570 reads 3,700 KM's on the clock but who knows if its real or not? Anyway, the top end makes a ticking sound and was wondering if it need attention? My (and every other) R1 does it too but the big thumper is louder. It can do 180Kph and pull the wheel up no worries so feels STRONG.
Thanks Tarders

You may want to check valve clearances but I wouldn't be overly worried. If it were anything serious, such as valves touching piston, you'd be walking by now :)
I go with dicky's approach myself  But then again I ride a drz and I could probably run it on 'brick' instead of petrol and hardly notice the difference :lol2:

The 570 is a single cam and uses rockers (I think) so any ticking is just adjustment. Another thing I'm not entirly shore of is that the valves are made of stainless not titanium! So it should last a little longer anyway.
