Geeze, they owner is a bit of a sook. The wear on the rubber is not even over to the edge....I guess thats why he rides a Honda!
We're not going to start this honda vs Yammie thing again are we. . .
It's not even a fair fight, we all know that red ones go faster.

I want them!
Not sure that I'd pay $1600 used ones though.
We'll see how the bidding goes.

Can't you get new wheels with excel rims for around $1800?
Or Muzzards rims laced to Honda hubs for cheaper than $1600?
Or am I wrong? I'm just starting out in motarding so I wouldn't be surprised if I am.

Your right, I think Steve paid $1600 for Morad rims and Talon hubs for his DRZ

Yep, the only thing to factor in is the cost of tyres - if they're good ones in good nick on the rims they're probably worth ~$3-400

I'm begining to think we're not talking about Marg Simpson now
If you could get em for $1,000, it's probably worth it.
(the wheels, not marges pubes)

Take a pair of my rims @ $500 retail, add the $250 for stainless spokes and another $250 to lace em to your hubs and you have a $1000 rim set...
What colour rims would you like? ;)

So from now on do you do the lacing of any rims cheaper per set Sibbo?
Is this the new enterprise?

I have laced push bike wheels. I even made custom spokes for it.....sort of.
How much to shops charge per hour? It cant take a skilled dude more than 1 hour per wheel, more like 30 mins.
I think you could get a cheaper price from a push bike shop. If my memory servs correct, TFM were charging heaps less to do a full service, which involved some rim work.

I was a push bike...erm....according to the boxes with the bikes in them, a push bike mechanic, or something like that. Well at least for a summer, where I worked for a push bike shop assembling bikes. All very fun....I hope motor bikes are not assembled in the same way!!

No he wasn't that kind of mechanic. He used to look after down hill mt bikes and mine in particular. He was the only person that could get my brakes to work. (very fiddly hydrolic)
