I guess it depends on how much work you want to do yourself versus buying something as a good-to-go kit. For example, I'm sure you can get an ohlins kit for them with a custom made billet triple clamp, but it'll likely cost you about $5k.

The alternative would be to try and just find stuff that fits, such as looking at triple setups that have the same steering stem size, rough width and offset and pairing that up with either a machined up front axel or the whole front wheel/brake from that model. Maybe CR or similar triples would be close? Or, again, find some good quality USD forks (CR/RM showas for example) and then have a set of triples made up by someone like Frank's in Adelaide.

If you budget around the $2k mark you can probably get something knocked up pretty good I would imagine...

look on supermotojunkie, there is a couple of posts with instructions and suppliers of the bits you need. Honestly i looked into it and it was going to cost a fortune and take hours of work for something that wasn't going to be that much better than a resprung and valved set of stock forks with a fork brace.

Just buy the KX500 that is for sale up there and get some red plastics and job done.

I'm with Tom on this one...
Unless you are going for the extreme mods for bling then the stock front end fitted with the right valving and oil weight will be as good as you will need in most applications.
Damn site cheaper option unless you can lay hands on a rolling CR as a donor...
