The next Motard is set as below. Please note that if we do not get the required amount of pre payments, then the track will not be booked.

Also, I will be attending a meeting next Thursday 23rd April 2009 for Motorcycling NSW. Hopefully we may have more information or even an answer after this meeting in regards to our club NSW Supermoto Riders Club... Stayed tuned....

will do closer to the day, although this does seam a little stupid......
i bought the motard as my dailey comuter seeing as i crashed my F4i at the creek. so i am turning that into a track bike and keep the tard for the road. now im about to take the tard to the track. if i crash that i will have binned two bikes at the creek so they can sit in the garage all smashed up next to eash other while i comute for two hours in the shit box car! GREAT!

Your motard will be fine.

MrSXV
20-04-2009, 03:52 PM
Take your mirrors and blinkers if possible off and if you bin it you'll be lucky to scratch the plastics...

There won't be much daylight, but I'll try and make it out to get some snaps again.

21-04-2009, 08:02 AM
yeah ill pull off a few bits that stick out and i should be fine. do we use teh full track or just the top or bottom loop.
i have all the gear but a mate might be keen however he only has dragin jeanes, will they let him on or must be full leathers?
i take it there are lights on the track?

either way looks like im about to go spend more money on the tard and try to find some bark busters. then it should be sweet.

MrSXV
21-04-2009, 09:18 AM
Bottom loop, search one of the old EC track night and there's a track map.

Can't go past leathers but you can ride in draggins i have seen a few people on the kart track in dragins.

And yes lights.

21-04-2009, 09:59 AM
Draggins just fine for riding - but they are shit for crashing....

I was at the track day on March 30, riding an SXV550. Didn't make the Motard session that night as I had to drive back to Jindabyne for work the next day. :(

On a WR400 I couldnt think of anything worse than doing the full EC track! Oran Park was ok but I get way more enjoyment dirt riding than big open tracks. Go Kart track is sick though :D

So how was the night for those that went?

Nice one ozz, I was out there on Feb 20 on a black hypermotard. Went out yesterday to watch a mate, but didn't ride. I hope to have my SXV550 ready for the next one. If you're going to book in for another day let me know. What group do you normally ride in?

ozz
27-04-2009, 09:51 AM
Usually run in the medium/fast. I got chiped last time for "close quarter passing". I go alright through the corners its down the straight I get smoked. Being the only motard in that group is a pain but thats where my mates ride on their sports bikes so that where I have to be.
Must be fun on a Hypermotard, I have looked at them and thought that I would like one.
Will let you know when I'm coming up for another run. Have you considered coming down to Wakefield Park? Being a tighter track it's better on the SXV.

infidel
27-04-2009, 10:21 AM
Yes the hyper is good fun at the creek. I normally go in medium slow for the same reason - mates in that group. But i would like to do medium fast next time and learn better lines of some of the faster guys.

Would love to come down to wakefield, never been there before.

No way mate! Very tough to get anything happening up here! As a side note I have just moved to Kings Park and went to the local Yamaha dealer (being team moto) to check it out and was talking to a couple of the reps and basically said that motards just dont sell out that way and its more of an eastern suburbs thing. They sell plenty of dirt bikes, road bike and there is a massice harley dealership down the road, but it was a bit of a rude awakening that there just wasnt much motard interest out that way... very much a niche market

I think the time is more the issue 2pm to 10pm weeknights, out west in winter freezing cold with a moist dewy track.
If they were day events they would pull more numbers.

Agreed, to make it worthwhile I was taking half days off work which isn't always practical  Costs more though so its catch 22 I guess...

Are you sure that it is cancelled? It has never happened before. Rachael does a great job of getting it out there. C'mon guys, ring her, book in. I hadn't but was just thinking about it today after talkig a mate into to getting wheels for a day at Oran Park.

By the way it is probably me at EC on the black KTM, always having fun, just never going real fast.

Well thats what the email that she just sent around said... needed more people to pre-pay in order to make the booking otherwise she risks losing to much money which is fair enough I reckon

19th is back on!!! Lots of people were attending but just had not paid as yet,
As per Rachael's email all payments must be made 2 weeks prior to track night.

Pre pay people its cheaper!!!

Was great night decent turn out but cut short due to the down pour.
Lots and crashes and one injury.
A few photographers showed up but poor lighting and a night time event didn't help.
As soon as the sun get out of sight the track get damp and moist very quickly.
I would be prepared to pay more for a day session???

The guy on the white bike (number 1) was flying. He was scraping his pegs on the hairpin at the far end of the track. He must have been a professional or something? Also he went and spoke to one of the photographers at one stage, don't think he liked where he was standing?

Was there any sort of groups running or was it just go for it?

Whens the next one? And how do i join her mailing list/website.

I was only there from about 4-5 and someone crashed on a CRF (Seemed alright though, drove off after about 3mins), someone ran out of fuel and someone on a husqvarna stopped to clean the track.

Number 1 is national champion and was on a 250cc WR to put it in perspective.

Early in the day/night its all in but then gets split into groups depending on numbers A,B and C

No announcement for the next send Rachael a email and ask to be added
email address is on page 2 or 3 of this thread.
