Where did you score yours mate?

Funny you should mention it, i fitted up the new brakes over the holidays (except the bloody braided line that has the wrong fitting at one end).

So. . . i now have this spare and for sale (not including the caliper)

http://img6.picsplace.to/img6/10/IMGP0895.JPG (http://picsplace.to/)

The disc and bracket came as a pair from moto master, not sure where you could buy them seperately.

I get most of my gear from Skidz in Sydney, if he's up here and just needs a bracket, give Jeff a call he may be able to help out.

If you need custom fittings for your brake lines, go to B & R Brakes in Blacktown. I had some custom lines made for the front of an RX3 and it was $57 for the pair of lines with the custom fittings. I'm sure if it is just the fitting it will be cheaper.

Tom

I think you have to save it as a jpeg first?

Anyone know more about it?

Agent - email it to me at nmspam@iinet.net.au and i'll magic it up online...

Tom,

I have a question;
Do you live in or near Manly ? , as i saw a bike very similar to yours yesterday turning into Pittwater road.

The other reason i ask is that the otto bin in the background of your photo has a blue lid on it and so does mine in Manly.

It all may be a coincidence as well.

I'm at Balgowlah up the road. :D

Ok, here are some pics of agent's recent dyno runs. He's a smidge behind Tom in terms of outright power, but look at that lovely looking curve :)

Agent,

I live in Balmain, and i hope that wasn't my bike cause i was out of the country on 2 march!

You've also made my mind up about getting the Vortex ignition, i've heard it makes great gains at mid range in the XR's (something about the stock curve flattening out there?) Now i just have to save some money.

Well Neil we need to rattle Sibbos chain again!! He's got a job again so maybe he can at least finance a bike now.

I'll be in it.
I've spoken to agent about his pipe and am most likely to get one for myself soon.
I have an FCR41 sitting on the coffee table, just waiting for a new inlet spigot.
If I really get my shit together (dream on) I could do a few runs for a real comparo of exhaust/carby differences.

dicky.

Sibbo was good enough to do some research in this thread here --> CLICKY (http://www.vsmr.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=397&highlight=dyno) <--

And for those who can't be bothered to click ;)

Alright got some prices.
DynoBike: 5 people @ $30 each
10 people @ $25 each

Brighton Bikes and Bits: 5 people @ $30 each
10 people @ $35 each
They will offer 1/2 price dyno tune (normailly ~$160) for all thoes that run.
They are also willing to open on Sunday for us.

So if we get a few together we can get a cheap run and all talk crap :) So far it sounds like me and dicky for sure, and i'd be hoping Ash with his newly rebuilt gearbox :) Who else in Vic is interested in a dyno day? Surely there must be a few takers!

Err....I think neil has changed my post, as bikes and bits is cheaper for less people! woops. I think it should read $35 for 5 and $30 for 10.

Im there and I am going to win the hp/cc shootout. Muzz you going to challange with that 250 monster engine?

I'll be in it. Someone has to there to defend the pride of hyunda.... errr.... I mean hyoonda, and I have just the shitbox for the job

Didn't realise bikes and bits had a dyno. Been in there a lot and have never seen it. Out the back somewhere

I reckon one friday we do a motard dribbler shootout at the calder off street drags. That sounds like fun too :)

Well, let's organise a date then, sounds like we have a group of aroun 6-8 depending on how many finally opt in. I'm guessing either a saturday or a friday evening if any of the shops stay open late.

If we were looking at a Saturday, how does the 1st April sound for people?

I'll voulenteer the pad afterwards for bbq and shit talking :snigger:

Edit: See this thread to vote on a date! ---> CLICKY (http://www.vsmr.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=706) <---

Dont forget that B&Bs will open on Sunday for us and only us.

The 500 wont be ready for the dyno shootout, got to buy it first, then get a nice alloy frame, then rims, disk, caliper, etc, etc, learn how to ride, grow some balls, get scared and sell it!!

..... or if I need to waste my money

To be honest, I don't imagine it being much more than 45, certainly not over 50 I wouldn't reckon. It goes better than a stock DRZ or a WR400, and feels stronger than a KTM duke I rode a fair while back, but it doesn't feel as toey of what I remember of a decent 500 MXer. Been a while (probably more than 10 years) since I rode one of those though.
