I've got my rims, new front rotor, motard front fender, new headlight unit, and a PrePel sprocket...

All of it is sitting on the floor because I can't get the damn screws out of the factory front rotor, the rear rotor or the sprocket. Some biatch has used HEAPS of loctite on everything.
I've soaked it in WD40, hit each with an impact driver, twisted 3 allen keys, used a butane, and none of them will budge.

I went to four local bike shops and none have the screws I need... this is really pissing me off. I have a short temper as well, which doesn't help. I have a bruised forehead (headbutted the screw cabinet at home), bruised knuckles and a stuffed wrist from punching the floor.. I always remember that it is concrete just a little too late.

All I want to do is ride the damn thing... I've spent the cash on all the right pieces and 18 screws are holding me up.

Anyone know where to get the allen head screws that go from the rotor to the carrier, for a DRZ400?

I had the same problem with the DR650. Must be the Suzuki loctite! In the end I was looking at some serious drilling etc to get them out so I left them in the dirt wheels and coughed up for some after market discs. Try http://www.aussiediscs.com.au/. Cost me $525 for both discs (see photos) and new rotor mounting bolts. Sure it's dearer but it makes swapping wheels a whole lot easier!

I've not taken the small disc off the original front, but I do swap over the disc on the rear. They were tight but came out with a bit of persuasion.

What screws are you after? The bolts that actually hold the carrier on to the rim? You should be able to get them from any suzuki dealer. I'm surprised you didn't get a set with the brake kit actually.

I drilled all 6 outta my front hub originally as they were loctited in...
Be careful and you have no problems, rush it and you have a rooted hub...

I managed to get all of the screws out on the weekend :)

I left the stock disk on the original dirt wheels and just got some new screws from Nepean Boltmaster for the new disk.

I had to drill out all of the screws on the rear disk/hub, but that all went ok. I replaced them all with the same screws as the front (also from Nepean Boltmaster). I got the rear disk off using an ring spanner on the nuts on the back.. I had to also use a 3 foot long galvanised pipe slipped over the ring-spanner for leverage. Once they cracked, I got them all out with an allen key.

Now my next problem is shortening the chain to fit....

That's more like it - when in doubt, apply excessive force  :snigger:
