After our little talk on Saturday Muzz I am thinking about a new 450. (track only) Just depends on some things at the moment.. Do you think I would do OK racing bikes??

Like anything else Ash, It comes down to dedication and commitment, practice and time on the track to gain some trackcraft skills...
You were doing OK mate, just need to be quicker up the straight and trust the brakes and tyres more at the end.
As you saw twice during the day, You can overcook it.. but if you keep constant pressure on the brakes and wait for whip effect as it comes back round, It can be gathered up OK too... ;)

Speaking of racing, Muzz, was Ash faster than me?

Its a bit hard to use Muzz's rims with him using them at the time!
You got to be kidding yourself if you think you are better them me! Just wait till I offload the 6r and get something more acceptable.....

Im not really sure, but $5k would be nice. When I am ready to sell it, all the fairings will be smooth and painted in green with black as a two tone. The muffler will be finished and polished up in nice alluminium, so it should look OK.
The bike has a service history and I have replaced (well will have!) all the fluids and the gear box has only just been rebuilt. The disks are legal and the front has new pads, chain and sprockets are basically new and the tyres it will be sold with are near enough to new as well (pirelli diablo). It also has a unifilter air filter.
The bike has done a few k's, but I rode with the previous owner for most of the k's and they were basically touring ks, as he knew that he could not keep up with me on the SV.
You know someone who is keen?

Thanks Rook,
Now the pressures on to come up with the rest of the infrastructure to see me on the start line...
Sponsorship arrangements here dont really aid and abeit the cause, when there is not a lot in it at the end for them, bar a bit of banter on the net...
To put together a Team to ride the series in both/all classes would be the most advantageous but also the most difficult to coordinate, with bikes, sponsorship deals, equipment shipping costs and associated costings for accommodation and airfares.
So I will ask now,
Is there anyone apart from myself and J.R in the States intending on running in this series from out of the VSMR ranks?

Thanks Rook for the dates, working on sponsorships now, but if you can also help get sponsors that would be greatly appriciated.

Will try to put together a prospectus for the punters, both individually and as Team VSMR Motard and forward it over the New Year Rook.
All those interested should contact me soon to be included in a Team ride at the 2 hour Endurance Event...
Are you thinking just the one race Muzz?

Not as yet mate,
Only the usual suppoters here, but being an Asian title I am looking further afield right now... ;)
I practice every sunday at a parking lot ( i just posted 2 pics ) on my YZ450F SM. I was told today by 2 buddies, one races a KTM 525 and the other races Verts 450 and 501's that I am geting way to fast for them, they told me there is no possible way that they can beat me this year, with me now on a 450F. Thats sweet, makes me feel good. Also there is one corner where coming out of it I dirt track style it, hung way out, they told me today that I am one crazy mofo, they dont know how I can do that and not crash. I also put in alot of laps, prolly 100 - 125 per day.

My last episode in a parking lot was here in Wangaratta about 2 weeks ago and although suitably impressed with speed, grace, and the squeal of the Avons,
The local police were asking me nicely to pack it up  ...
Jeez,
It was Supercheap Auto Parts carpark and dont they sell speed equipment
yeah the police come to the parking lot all the time, but they come to watch not kick us out :)
