Who would be interested in a SM coaching day by Alex Gobert at either Oran park Kart track or EC?
He even does one one coaching, he runs a superbike school was also very good on the tard.
He will get back to me with prices for a group of 5-6 maybe more if we can round up more people.
So post up if interest so i can give him some numbers.
Link to the superbike coaching day http://www.rrpa.com.au/ but google Alex Gobert to find out more on his SM.

Hey,
Wow, hope all is well for him....stay safe.
Prices i have from Alex Gobert are
One on One training is $440 inc GST for the day/night and $250 + GST for each added rider.
So $275 inc GST each and then we will just divide the $440 between the total guys that turn up. Sound fair?? So far we have 9 people...
He said he can incorporate this into a practice night at EC then monitor us while on the track.
I will speak with Rachael regarding the next practice night or even better if we have enough people get the track just for this coaching session.

Pick a practice night at least 2 months away and I might even drive up join you mofo's! (running low on CASH atm! :( )

Ok have had replies from both Rachael and Alex regarding this coaching night.
Next gtrack night is March 30 2pm - 10pm as Mark mentioned.
It will be incorporated into a practice night with a MAX of 5 riders under Alex's supervision
Normal track fees apply $90 pre pay or $110 on the night plus a MA licence for $20
Then Alex coaching fees.
There is no stopping on the track for coaching instructions and normal track days rules all apply so pretty straight forward.

Doing the maths for you guys.............
$275 for the tuition
$88ea for Alex one on one, based on 5 riders
$90 for track day if you pre book and have a license.
plus fuel and time to get there
GRAND Total w/o fuel $453! Big dosh but some great gains to be had.
seems really expensive to me. I believe the training that was offered up here was $30 per head from Josh Mcfarlane. it was also more personalised with excercises down on particular corners. i would suggest to rachael a pro rider from within the club could do the same training and be a fundraiser for the club.
Christ, that's a lot of coin...
I dont think this is good value ($453group) given restrictions on track and that we will be all in same sessions with other riders on track aswell verry hard for someone to watch 5 riders when there will be 10+ ontrack add to this that your sharing this service 4 other riders over limited sessions,$550 1 on 1 is miles better value maybe given these circumstances alex could sharpen his pencil on group price $1000-$1200 for knight would be more realistic and still agood earn for knights work and better then comming out 5 knights at $550 a hit because the only person whos going to be happy the other way is alex with $2000 in his pocket for 1 night and as agroup we would frustated .
something to think about too is there may not be much time between sessions to explain things to 5 different riders.
That seems very expensive to me too. I realise that Alex has to make a bit of coin out of the night but running a coaching session during an open trackday is not the ideal way to go and the price should reflect this.
The coaching session we had with Josh McFarlane was incredibly cheap but that was because he was doing it as a favour to the club, I don't think he made much (if any) money from it. Obviously this is not a realistic proposition.

If your paying that kind of money you want to have the track to your self .
they have one here next month 800 euro but thats for 10 days on 2 different tracks and has 4 or 5 guys out of the World championships as instructors plus a race day at the end .
Alex is very good fast and smooth you wold learn a lot , but you need to be on track for that time alone

Sounds good to me, maybe he could make some $$ while also being a fundraiser by charging a little more

Am interested as long as total price is competitive to that of the californian bike school prices :)
