Extreme make a set of handguards that are around $60 with mounts from most bike shops.
The axle sliders most make from Delrin rod and all thread.

Theres several links here for custom made ones though too.

I've got these Axle sliders on my 610, been through a few scrapes now. Just use spare rod from bunnings.

pretty cheap eventhough shipped from the UK

Looking at the nice hollow axles the other day on yours Justin,
I was thinking some Delrin machined to fit inside and a retainer like your bar ends to hold them in :P

cheers for the help, Lads.

i'll be looking into these a bit more...

:)

as far at the hand guards go.

I'm assuming there's no major structural difference between acerbis and ego?

does one stand above the other for reputation?

I've got the ego's on my husky, either set will do the job mate.

i prefer the acerbis supermoto guards after owning both pairs but very little difference. if u like the look of one over the other get them

they arrived today

need to find something to cut the rod with and i'll also have to trim back the right fork protector about 4mm so it will fit.

All in all they look like they'll do the job fine.

Straight grind marks = street cred

Circular grind marks does not :D
