Got another new toy for the XR yesterday,

Now i need to get my hands on a reservoir and hose for it, and try to rig up a brake light switch.
Anyone got a spare reservoir or ideas for a switch? :-k

What size bore does it have and what calliper are you using it on ?
it's a 17mm bore going on a 4 pot braking caliper, i've also got a 5/8 inch master cylinder (which i think is a bit smaller than 17mm) but it's not radial, problem is neither of them have a reservoir.

5/8th is just on 16mm ... as far as reservoir goes, just find a cheapy at a wrecker and make up a small ally bracket by hand
Bloody wreckers up here told me they'd only sell me a reservoir if i bought the master cylinder it's attached to!!! And a new reservoir off a GSXR is going to cost me $70!!
I think i'll try to use a rear reservoir of an XR or something cause they're a fair bit cheaper. Hope it's not too small though.
Any ideas on the brake switch? i know they make them for Margura's and brembo's, does anyone know who sells them?

I've got some spare reservoirs around the place I reckon ... nothing flash but workable. I was using a small one from a rear brake which worked OK, you don't really need a lot of volume, its really just for convenience having a large m/c so that you only check its level once in a while. PM me a mailing address and I'll drop something in the mail to you that might do the trick

And for brake switch you should be able to fit up a pressure switch of sorts??

Can you not fit a pressure switch, from a Yamaha for instance, that is also the bolt for the banjo out of the master cylinder to the caliper?
Nmilne,
PM sent, you're a champion.
Tell me more about this pressure switch? i was going to try and take the switch off the original master and try to make it work on the new one. . . but it's looking like more trouble than it's worth.
Is the banjo bolt switch off a WR, YZ or the supersports? Should be able to pick up a new one of them from a dealer and give it a go.
Thanks for all the help.
Tom.
