Ok ya'll sorry for the late updates!! Ok well I raced my final semra race for the year 3 weeks ago. Man was this a tough race, of course i was the only 250. There was a new guy there this time on a new KTM 450 built by HMC KTM Redbull race team, and he was fast. anyway I qualified 5th out of 11. In qualifying I crashed on the first lap, ( in 3rd place) pushing to hard with cold tires to keep up with the 2 KTM's that were in front of me. They ended up stoping the race, so I got a restart. at the end of qualifying there was 2 KTM's, a rmz 450 and a Honda 450 in front of me. The one KTM guy and the Honda guy I havent been able to beat all year long.
The main event. I started on the 3rd row on the inside, going into the first turn a left hand turn, (somewhat like a dirt track short track turn) I was in the middle of a 3 wide group, we made it through no problems, the next turn is imediatly after turn 1 and a righty, ok through that too, turn 3 is immediatly after turn 2 a very sharp lefty got smoshed in the turn but keeped my line and didnt let off the gas, I came out of that turn in third place :D Once you come out of turn 3 there is a long staight 5th gear pined on the 250F i kind of was heading a little wide for turn 4 a lefty, which was a good thing, the guy on the RMZ450 was coming up on the inside of me but he messed up and went right through the turn and in to the grass and crashed. did not stop the race. I really had to ride my butt off to keep third for the next 24 laps and boy did i ever. I ended up finishing 3rd right on the asses of the 2 KTMs. So this year I got 3 thirds and a 4th and finished 3rd overall. Not a bad year if you ask me!

That next week I got chest pains that were really bad, i ended up in the hospital, I thought it was my heart f-ing up or something to do with my heart. The pain was unbarable and very uncomfortable. it felt like someone was sticking a knife in my chest into my heart. The doc at the hospital was very good to me and stayed with me untill the pain meds kicked in. It ended up being that i had an infection in the tissue around my heart and lungs, the tissue was very swallon and that was pushing on my heart, my heart was pusing into my ribs. Thats why I was having so much chest pains. Well I have decided to change how i eat and also start exercising. That trip to the hospital scared me alot. It will also help me with my racing. I also sold my 250F and my DRZ400SM street bike.

THE VERY GOOD NEWS

I got a phone call from a guy the other night on my way home from work. he said " I need to speak to you as soon as possible , can you come to my house tonight" I said sure be there asap. By the way you guys this call was from a guy that is working with Kawasaki. The good news is That Kawasaki ( the satalite MX team owner) wants to help me out with supermoto. I will be getting a brand new 06 250f in MAY or sooner if I can and also a 450F if i want one. If I can I will be doing the NASMOTO series and also the AMA series next year on Kawasakis, i still have to pay for the bikes but what i get them for is next to nothing. these bikes will be setup for me with works suspension and works motors. I must find a sponsor now that can help pay for my racing because I still want to come to OZ and also goto Thailand. I am going this afternoon to speak with that guy from Kawai again, wish me luck, time to talk about my plans on International racing!!!

All good there JR...
Kawasaki's are good bits of gear and I hope the longevity doesnt become a problem like the RMZ and CRF...
Green is nice, and I have raced mostly Kawasakis over the years, so have a soft spot for them...
Grab the KXF450 mate, They rock!!

Congratulations JR.

How the hell do you get an infection in the tissue around your heart? Were you playing Doctors and Nurses and somebody sneezed?

Good Luck.

The AMA S3 or Lites as you know them is hotting up since the introduction of the KXF250 earlier this year.
Mark Burkhart has had a grouse year aboard the Yamaha but is being hunted by the green pack.
Most of the most recent stuff I have seen ex-USA AMA has been 2 green to a blue on the podiums. Not in that order though. ;)
The Kawasakis seem to have the speed and power to match the Yamaha, and there hasnt been much in the way of negative feedback so far that I am aware of regarding engine toughness.

How have the RMZ and CRF held up this year JR, Many failures in the smaller capacity?

That's excellent JR  I heard about you selling your bikes due to health problems on SMJ and hadn't posted much up and I was a bit worried for you, so its great to hear that you're on the mend! :) Excellent stuff with the kwack deal too, the kxf450 looks like a real weapon and the kxf250 has had a rep as a real sweet handling bike so should make a good mount. 8)

Still looking forward to catching up with you out this way decked out in green

Well since I work at a Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki shop, and me going to ride Kawasakis the owner of the shop is quite pissed at me, but you know what i dont really give a shit he has had his chance for the last 3 years that I have worked for him to help me, but he hasnt so I have to do what I have to do. Murray as far as reliablity goes for the bikes that we sell I would have to say its Yamaha all the way and the suzukis in dead last. We have had alot of the MX guys having to bring back there RMZ250's all the time due to wont start or just runs like shit! We have not sold a single 06 RMZ250 yet so I really dont know yet what or if anything has changed. I have heard alot of good news about the New Kawai's, so all should be good on my end with factory support.

Have any of you heard if there is going to be a Supermoto Masters this coming year, if anyone here has any info at all please let me know asap, I am coming definalty for that!!! as much info as possible would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks ya'll JR
