DRZ400E header pipe

Hi guys,

I've been lurking around here for ages and now finally decided to join.

Anyway I ride a DRZ400SM and doing few mods here and there. I hear that the E model has a bigger header pipe that will give you a little gain in horse power. Since I do not like loud exhausts I thought this might be a cheap option how to help it a little.

So the question is does anyone have a E header pipe lying in the shed that is not needed? I would like to help you to get rid of it.

As I understand it the E header is too big to fit the SM mid pipe/muffler so you'd need to change the whole exhaust, and the SM exhaust had different mounting points to the E exhaust.....
Could be wrong though, never had a DRZ

It should be relatively easy to expand the muffler connection bit. Any muffler place should be able to do it.

Thats true, as long as the reduction in cross sectional area at the transition doesn't cause a restriction and back pressure increase.
