G'day Guys

I need (for a RWC) a front sprocket cover.

If anyone has one hanging around it would be great if i could borrow it just for the RWC and return it. Will trailer to and from and give it a clean and spray of deoderant so it will be better then new when returned.

can pickup in melbourne. north preferably. or can flick you $5 for postage (will probably fit in a standard envelope)

03 ktm 525 or equiv. probably the same as the 450's and probably others???

looks like this - black plastic bit

or one to buy? i dont really want to spend 70-80 on a ktm one that i will probably take off anyway

Thanks heaps guys

Cheers
Ben

Ben, it's a pretty easy thing to make out of a piece of 2-3mm aluminium plate. Cut it with a jigsaw and use 3 lengths of tube (copper should do) as standoffs.

yeah i might try that...i fricken broke another set of indicators being too rough

have the al plate, dont have a jigsaw though....not quite sure what you mean as "standoffs"

A standoff is an offset. Makes the piece "stand off" from the mounting surface. If you run something substantial you'll have yourself a case saver too.

Or you could just buy one. By the time you gin about for half a day tracking down some appropriate length bolts, trimming your aly plate, smoothing shit off and mopping up the blood that has been dripping from your hands the entire time, you've gotta ask yourself just what your "leisure" time is worth to you. :lol2:

the longer i spend doing anything in the shed....the more likely i am to brake something.

example....my stupid indicators

point taken. i guess its off for another trip to the ktm shop

Damn, I type slow! Devo beat me to it!

Good point, if you're a bit slow with tools, might be better to shell out the cash.

My workshop is pretty well stocked and I sometimes forget that people don't just find things in the scrap bin!
