OK,
So there is enough notice for even friggin Santa,
We are gonna have an Urban Christmas Cruise night in Melbourne in Mid December.
Proposed date is Saturday 10th to coincide with the track day.
For those travelling or undecided whether to travel, to get the track day and an evening ride and meal would possibly make the decision for them now.

Format would be track day at GPTC in South Morang, then meet up say at 7.30 at prominent landmark, and go and create some noise in Chapels St etc, do a spot of carpark racing, shoot some helmet cam stuff in the traffic, grab a pizza in Lygon St, an inpromptu stunt night somewhere and then coffee in Ackland St, and home...

Thoughts/Suggestions but please, constructive, and stay on thread you blokes...

Sounds good. I'll even clean my bike.

Ok, that might be going a bit far, but sounds good nonetheless :D

There is a small chance I may not be in the state, but it's only a small chance at the moment

Sounds good I'll be in and I will wash my bike....but unlike Neil I may not be in the country.

For those without rides at the moment who might want to be part,
There is always the option of the meal by meeting in Lygon St and a ride in the chase car..
(If you know what I mean for those with digital video cameras and bail money handy!)
These rides are always good fun...

For thoes of you who who might not be in state/country and want to be "in" the vids....well I have the perfect answer for you!!!

Ash, I will fit in your leathers and Neil.....anyone for a pillow for the guts!!

Sounds good, I will bring the 6r, might even have the pipe by then so it will have some midrange and be easy to pop up at lower speed.

You'll have to rip the fairings off and whack on the Renthals then Sibbo..

Sounds good ill just have to find some place to hang fluffy dies
and as lond as we park the bikes in a manner that will annoy any one on the footpaths as we sit there and admire the shine on our rides like any lygon and chappell st ryders do
On a serious note it sounds like a date then :rarrow:

Rundle St and the Mall was a haunt of ours when we were living/working in S.A. a few years ago too.

We will be still here when you get back Shane.. ;)

For those wishing to take part in the evening ride, but are unable to get to the track day beforehand,
Suggested meeting point in the City to be central to all,

How about Federation Square, on the footpath opposite the Cathederal at 8pm?

Sibbo
25-11-2005, 05:50 PM
With the brothers drinking goon?

dicky
25-11-2005, 08:17 PM
I'll try to make it.
I'm leaving France today, it's too fkkn cold (-5 and snowing)
I have to start work in NZ on 12th of Dec, but I should be OK for 10th.
It's been fkkn ages since I've ridden any type of bike.
I last rode my 'tard at Sth Morang with Sibbo and Neil :(

dicky.

Wobbly
25-11-2005, 09:44 PM
Sounds like a plan ... good to hear you can get out too dicky, been a while since we've seen you around these parts ;)

I've just got back from a bit of a zip around sydney, perth and adelaide, which has been my first work trip of any sort for a while since I gave up my international work. Reminded my that I hate travel :lol2: Except for the type that has a vibrating thing stuck between your legs .... not to mention a bike! :P

25-11-2005, 10:06 PM
So how crazy are you guys in the city, not much of a traffic person but does sound like fun getting a heap of motards together. I'd be the slowest. :)

Muzzard
25-11-2005, 10:16 PM
Cant go too sick in the traffic at night anyway Danger...
More about the rumble and bling, (or if your a U2 fan, the rattle and hum  )
More strip cruising than anything else so at a pace where you can watch both the footpath and the road mate ;) ...
We will find ourselves a little drag race somewhere, throw in a wheelstand, burnout, and endo, and a bit of fun will be had by all  ...
Social is the idea, profile is also a target with as many bikes as we can muster for a bit of group attraction.
Bike lock is a must!

jakestein
25-11-2005, 11:20 PM
Altho at work a few ppl are on holidays I am putting in for the day off :)

I have 8 RDO's so I wanna fucken use em :D

If it works out Murray you wanna do a trailer thing with you,Danger and me? can use my little red rocket for gear and what not

No baffles is the theme right :supz:

Muzzard
25-11-2005, 11:25 PM
We can do something along those lines if you are gonna bring the red rocket and Danger doesnt mind travelling with you as I will have the ute full.
Can load the bikes on the back of the ute rather than screw with trailers in town.
Piss easy. ;)

And no Jake, I cant hear that last question over the exhaust noise mate

jakestein
25-11-2005, 11:28 PM

Bugger Dicky...
Banshee,
Should be all fine to park on the footpath there as it is legal to park on any footpath in Victoria on a bike as long as its within 1 metre of the kerb and not deemed an obstruction...
Same law applies to sandwich board style pavement advertising... ;)
See you Saturday night then...

Docklands? Who the fuck can find anything there now?
I'm an old skool Melbourne bloke, I had enough trouble when they built Westgate...

Sibbo

Muzzard
08-12-2005, 07:25 PM
Whatever you have in regard to sensible riding gear at the moment.
There is the requirement for leathers, but if your new to the sport and want to 'try before you buy' it can be done... ;)

See you at the track Dave... :D
Hamp wants to run the new engine on his 426,
And I will be there about 1pm to circulate a few laps to run the 250 in a bit too, after I unload the bike in Mooroolbark and ride over to GPTC...

Anyone Eastern Suburbs going to the track day want to meet to ride over?

Flash

How did the GPTC session go?

Flash
10-12-2005, 11:55 PM
GPTC went well, Muzz Steve me and Hamp showed up. Hamp learned to post topics on this site!! (no excuses now!!) Steve learned to back it in better! Muzz learned it's very difficult to go from wheelie to back in, in one move and not crash. I learned to stay on :D
I missed the evening ride unfortunatley  I had a party that went later than I was told.(suprise suprise!!!!!!!!!!!) So I can't fill in the details for the mayhem that followed in the evening

jakestein
10-12-2005, 11:59 PM

All good boys,
Except for the speeding fine on the way home...

So another 3 points and 200 odd bucks for the Police Christmas Club...
Bastards!!

5 riders showed for the ride, so we basically went and had some dinner and talked bikes.
Neil, Kimo, Sibbo, Steve and myself. ;)

Flash
11-12-2005, 10:17 AM
I wasn't able to get away from the party untill 12 so I figured you guys would have eaten and gone home by then. No injuries or accidents to speak of??
Where did the cops get you Muzz?

Muzzard
11-12-2005, 10:24 AM
Ringwood, coming down the hill over Heatherdale Rd,
They were siiting next to the Coach and Horses in the construction zone pointing back towards the city...
Since when do they allow radar traps on inclines in Victoria?

N.S.W are arsewipes with Road Law, but they dont put radar traps at the bottom of 25 degree plus hills looking for revenue!
