What would my bike get trade in on a Berg 650?
Bendigo dirt bikes are doing them for 12800 on road with 1 yr parts and labour warranty 8)
My bike is a 04 wr450f 5500km
Motard wheels/standard wheels
Brake upgrade
Full Bills exhaust system
Near new tyres
Full service history
I can throw in the old pro-circuit muffler into the deal as well haha.
I would like 8grand or 8500 with all the gear, is that what I should expect or will it be some piss poor offer of 5500?
I havent spoke to them yet but I know they have 13 bikes at that price it started at 20 :!: and the offer is about 3 weeks old.
My friend is going there soon to but a deposit on one :)

You know they're going to offer you a shit price. That's definate.
It seems it's not enough to lose $6,000 off the value in one year, they have to rub your face in some shit too.
I can't believe the drop.  :? It's bullshit.
With the extra work that you've done on the bike I'd sell privately for more - takes more time and effort but it would be worth it. You'd probably get about $1500 more than they offer.
Either that or take your motard set up off and keep it until you find someone who needs it, 'cos you know they're going to get it for nothing and will just strip it off and give it to the bosses son don't you? You may as well get the benefit of all the hard work and skinned knuckles - not them.
Whichever way you go. Good Luck.
If my situation changes then I'd jump at your motard set up.
Scozzie.

I think Danno did all the valves and rockers etc at 10000km's because they were stuffed, so maybe keep the wr and take it to 480+cc'c just a thought. I think Muzz would be the best to speak about the reliability of the yamaha.

If you're serious about selling then I'd strip all the good gear off it, leave enough low $ things to fill out an add and sell the bike as bare bones as you can, then flog off all the other stuff individually. If you wanted to trade in then def strip it back to 'basic' mode and go from there, as they will offer you bottom line $'s if they're cutting back on the bergs to get them run out before the new model is in...
