Whats the best way to bleed brakes, some of mine have a separate nipple others like the SXV amd 848 have a nipple on the top part of the banjo so whats the best fool proof way to get a solid lever all bikes have braid steel lines.

Do the top one first, on MC if you have one,
build up pressure and hold it tight, loosen nipple and tighten again as soon as brake fluid stops coming out. release brake. Repeat this till no more little air bubbles come out.
then do the bottom one on the caliper, same process. works for me

Take the caliper and m/c off all together and string them out so there are no bends in the line. Then get a big syringe and use it to force fluid into the bleed nipple on the calliper, and sponge out the fluid from the open reservoir. This should force all the air bubbles up naturally through the system. Then do up the nipple and reservoir cap, hold the m/c so that the bleed nipple on that is pointing upwards, crack it open and close it when fluid starts seeping out.
Put it all back together and cable tie the lever to the bar overnight (under pressure). Next morning open up the reservoir, release the brake lever and see if anything else comes out. Net result should be an absense of air in the system :)

Can u mix old fluid with new like mines only maybe 6-7 months old from last brake changed with pads and fluid

you can.... but the new fluid will only be as good as what you mix it with. And mixing different brands is not suggested, as they have different properties
be like mixing a black label scotch with the cheapest one you can find lol.
it takes surprisingly little amount of brake fluid to fill an entire system

By the time you flush the system enough to ensure the air is out of it you've probably put 3x the fluid capacity through it

I guess i should have explained a bit more, fluid is newish Motul, but just get a shudder/ gurgling feel when on the brakes hard to a complete stop so i'm guessing air in the system so not wanting to flush the fluid yet just get the air out if that's is the problem.

thats okay, try what i outlined in the first post. The amount of fluid required depends on how much air is in the system. It could be one little bubble causing the prob, which would require very little fluid to top up reservoir. Don't let the fluid go below the low mark on the reservoir, just good practice.

How long between brake fluid changes? I have done 2500ks on my new Berg. D need to change it soon. I only get my valves done at the shop and do engine oil and basic maintainance at home.

Every 2 years is recommended but depends on what riding racing you do i suppose and quality of fluid...

I replace mine after every race meeting , use RBF 660.
A lot of people say you lose aprox 10% of braking capacity every time you give them a pissling.... eg. after every race day...
I run the standard SXV setup with good pads & quality fluid & have not had a problem yet.
They seem to work pretty good for my mongtard ability.
