Did ya purge the tank before you started cutting/welding on it?
Working on tanks has always made me nervous even after rinsing, drying and purging with argon.

Top job mate!
I used to rapair car tanks easy to purge hook a car exhaust up to the tank and let it run for 10 mins! Easy! Never had one catch fire/blow up!
No purging I like to stare danger in the face,.....once my grinder made it through with no boom I figured it was ok! I just rinsed with water real good and started with water in the tank .

All right you have to bare with me . Just messing around with an idea . So before you think poof cause it's all pattern like ----F---it I put a skull on there! :twisted: And yes the pics are big cause it was alot of taping! Not sure if I want to keep it like this so I haven't glossed it ????What do yah think????

That's nuts! I like it!
I think it needs the manufacturer's name on the side to break up the pattern - perhaps a retro style logo in muted colours.
That looks good. I like the first one with the green tape still on it haha.
