Right, basically after the ride today (sat 30) I;ve decided that the Klingon is frightfully inadequate in the balls department (as in unless you hide behind the speedo you can't do 100 into a headwind - and thats damn scary when craig and andrew are sitting either side of you laughing at you riding along sitting up with one hand :P). So. Having perfected the Kinlon Krouch, I'm ready to move on.

Anyone selling a registered and RWC or nearly RWC 'tard in decent condition that hasn't been too abused, hasn't been around the earth too many times and will cruise easily at about 120 with plenty left in reserve (yes it will get used for some touring-ish typre rides, and a bit of commuting (at 120..ish)).

I'm not fussed about mods or spare bits. If they come, cool, if they don't no great loss. As long as it has a bit of poke about it to begin with.

So, please post or PM. I'm looking about 5000 as an absolute maximum (good luck to me, I hear you say :P).

Good luck, but your price point is a bit low. Add a couple of g's and you'll be talking though :)

Faz managed it on around $5K for a DRZ.
Sure he waited but he has it now ;)
Theres a heap of cheaper trail bikes that will also make nice motards.
Anything in the 400 and up capacity will haul you along OK.

Just keep your eye on EGay for a whole motard or build something cheaply from an older bike.

I've seen a few DRZ's trailys around the $3500 mark lately, and there always seems to be DRZ motard wheels kicking around. They'd probably be your best option for that price range. Since you have a bike already to play with, at least you have the benefit of time to wait for something to come up. :)

hey mate
as muzz said, i set myself up for 5 exactly.. drz400 with cast wheels
casties with everything on them, tyres sprokets disks bearings etc.. seem to go for anything around 750 upwards on ebay, i paid 820 for mine..

and bike wise, there are lots of drz 400's between the 3500 and 4000 mark, leaving you a bit of room to get wheels, ebay has an occasional cheapy as well

i waiting around for 3 months or so for my wheels, be patient and you'll be sweet.
cheers
faz

YO, after reading this, Im happy I did, I will leave the Kinlon alone and save more bucks. Or just frikin finance a bit and get a new WR250X, Does the WR250 have 'Poke', pull, power, for a 250 ofcourse.
