i never had the motard wheels on when it's being run in reverse. i'll get to ride it in reverse eventually.. but not this weekend.
Went out to the IKC last month. First time I've ever seen motards doin their thing. I watched a guy named Josh smashn the track and then I got back on my bike and rode home and thought ... fugn forget about it.
Just trying to get up to a basic pace on that kart track with you sickos would probably see me smash the shit out of my bike and body parts.
So props to you all ... and ur ballz.
I'm still thinkin bout it though - how to do it cheap mainly.

The guy you saw, Josh Macfarlane, came 2nd in the Aussie championship last year! An ex motocrosser with a fair bit of talent. Nice blokle too.
Search thru these forums and you'll find how to do it cheaply.
And welcome BTW.
Cheers
Vic,
QLD'ers correct me if Im wrong...
There are at least 2 different practice groups - Fast / Slow. The one Josh rides in is obviously the fast one.
Ive been down to watch a couple of times. Theres plenty of room in the slow group you wouldnt need to worry.

yeah depending on numbers they normally run 2 groups, have been there when then are not enough people and they had them all together
you don't truly appreciate how quick the quick guys are until your going flat stick, backing it in, peg dragging and got the throttle on the stop coming out of corners and they still blow past you like your granny going to the shops on a mobility chair.
like everyone always says, ride your own pace and just hold your line, the fast guys WILL get around you (normally rather quickly...)
Vic, don't feel intimidated by the quick guys, they know how to get past quickly and safely.
Normally there's a fast and a slow group, some of the fast guys are really fast and some of the slow guys are really slow, there's room for everyone!
Standard dirt wheels are allowed at IKT, you've just got to fit some road tyres.
I am one of the really slow ones
Its all good fun and the best way to learn, get out there and have a ball. :D
I plan on dropping out for a gidday or 2 but arm is still not mended so no riding for me.
Cheers brian
