I have an 04 525 and i am currently racing around the big smoke with nobbys and i think it handles tops
I think i should put something with a bit more contact to the ground that 20mm of contact on wet days still shakes me up a bit
I have priced some wheels from ktm dealer and i am still scratching my head $$$$$$$$$ wow and that was a goood price 2 6 mags for my car would not cost that much or id hope not
I tried rgv i think i would be a lot of enginering and i aint one so i am asking for some help to locate some with a reasonable price attached i would like the whole set up as in front disc and caliper mount cush drive
nd why do the rivets vibrate out of the exhaust :?:

There's a bloke on ebay that sells mag kits once in a while for about 1500 clams ... here's an old link >>> HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/AWESOME-KTM-MOTARD-KIT-NEW_W0QQitemZ4567268512QQcategoryZ29705QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem) <<<

There's also occasionally KTM hard parts listed on ebay and backmarker from WA was recently selling a KTM kit for 2200 all included (see link >>> HERE (http://www.vsmr.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=346) <<<)

As for the rivets, well ..... why is the grass green, the sun yellow, and the sky blue? :happyspin:

What Neil said

The rivet could come out because they are alloy and the muffler is stainless(?) They dont mix!
Or
They are alloy rivits and theyy are to soft try stainless or steel!

If neither work Get hold of a tig! :D

Theres a nice set of Talon units for sale in the forum,
But for a DRZ...
Maybe once again JTR may be able to help with changing the axle tubes if the hub is not too wide. ;)

My info is that all KTM wheels are interchangeable from at least '03 onwards and that includes the 2 stroke range if that is of any help to you when sourcing wheel sets.

Rivets wise,
Use good quality stainless steel rivets, actually drive pin and collars are what you want, the same as used in truck body building.
They are there until you punch 'em out then! ;)

I thought 03 had a smaller rear axle but im not 100% sure, does any one know for sure and i got some rivets and put all new ones back. The muffler is a wiered set up can you get diffrent tips or cut some pipe of in the can ?

Jeez, Good question regards the can.
I would assume KTM have got it fairly right and length wise I suspect OK.
Not seen the internal arrangement for those mufflers so cannot comment on the inside.

Interchangeable is what I was told.
Check with the Katoom man! 8)

Depending on what I'm currently riding, I may be able to 'lend' you some 17" motard rubber to get you by.

Now i am trying to get a disc company i know to make a neet match 320 mm wave rotor with the caliper extention the same as talons if you get my drift price should be reasonable for the set up i will let you know when they are done and post some pics of it all set up
Thanks for the offer dicky ill keep that in mind if i cant get them in time. what size and type of tyre would you recomend for street

umm... I'm currently in Korea, so unless you break in to my place I can't deliver on my offer for the next week and a bit.
I run either MT60R or Rennsport, depending on where I'm riding.
MT60R was fitted standard to the LC4, it has big tread blocks and is quite soft.
The Rennsport is used in 600 racing, it is sticky with a big grin factor.
Muzz will try to sell you on Distanzia, Flash and Neil will attest to how good they are.
Almost all sticky sport bike tyres will work, but the lighter the better.
Anything designed for racing on bikes up to 600cc should be pretty good.
Some of these tyres are really designed for the track, and have a profile approaching that of a racing slick, so they tend to tip in to corners very fast and also weave a bit at speed on the straights. This can be a bit disconcerting at first, but you'll be grinning like an idiot before you know it.
You can always run slicks, a lot of people do, but remember that they don't work when they are cold. Wets and intermediates are also popular on the front, and the tread makes them 'look' legal.

Haven't seen any motards in Seoul, may I should try to convert the locals.

Geez dicky, I would have thought you'd have been running around Seoul in a 50cc step through motard ;)
