Got a bit of a problem with 07 DRZ400 at the moment.

It has trouble returning to idle after accelerating.

I have had the carby out to check/ clean jets, have checked throttle cables to see if they are holding(all fine). Checked all linkages for obstruction(fine),
Took out old fuel and cleaned out the tank, checked idle screw is adjusted correctly..

Its starting to piss me off...........I'm thinking there may be a blockage in the idle circuit....

Any helpful suggestions with possible cause/ solution would be appreciated.

Vent hoses are all clear Rob?
Could be in the idle circuit,
Slide snaps shut I take it after flicking the throttle open :?

Yeah muzz,

had the carby out already.
hoses seemed all clear and the slide/ throttle snaps shut after twist..

BUT now you mention it(vent hoses) i did go through a big puddle while out trailriding and it started playing up later that day..
Can i just blow air up all the hoses to try to clear them or is it a pull the freakin carby off again job (ahhhhhh).....??????

thanks for reply too.

As a quick fix blow them out with the compressed air.
I wouldnt remove the carburettor again unnecessarily.
If the compressor seems to have made it better then off with the carb again for a more thorough clean ;)
