Most of you will have seen the news threads around about Aaron Slight coming over to the Ssangyong International in Sydney, and Ben has donated the Moto Evo CRF for the practice sessions, (correct me Ben if I am wrong mate).
I have a good mate in New Zealand close to the dealership that has supported Aaron over the years.
My understanding is Supermotard/Supermoto in New Zealand is still very much a burgeoning sport and Aaron is obviously one high profile rider there that is pushing the sport forward.
My mate is picking my knowledge at the moment in regards to wheelrims, brake conversions, and funnily enough, What I thought of the CRF450 as a motard bike
(I told him get a Yamaha of course, unless he wanted a Buell 8) )
so I think there is a general push towards motard sales there like here, with a lot of factory offerings now.
Dont be surprised if we get some Kiwi traffic shortly... ;)

I agree with you Muzz it has to be a Yamaha or a Husky or a Buell!
You couldn't go past a buell in the open class

Great news about Aaron  I followed him for many years in world superbike of course, so great to see him getting out from the tin top racing, at least for a while :)

I used the like watching him backing in the big bikes, laying big long lines both in and outta the corners, was always entertaining riding for sure and took some gifted throttle and brake feel/control.
Gotta be a 'natural' for the world of motard racing. :supz:

Are you coming over for this event Shane?
He's supposed to be aboard the Moto Evo CRF450 of Ben O'Brien, so I suppose he needs to start somewhere.
I told you once before WR stands for 'Wicked Racer'
(No slight on Ben, Aaron or the Moto Evo CRF intended)

It seems that if you are on a Husky you have every chance of winning!!!
Not a Honda :D

Aaron will be on the second Moto Evo Yoshimura Honda for practice next Thursday then the race on Sunday. It looks like again for the Tennis centre event. As the bikes are setup very well it will give him a level playing field, should be great.
