Well I know things are not all exactly peachy in the world of aussie motarding atm, well not in NSW anyway, so I heard about a track day at Eastern Creek go kart track on Monday I thought I would go out and support it :D I was a little shocked though when I turned up and everyone looked like hard core racers and here is me with my street bike, all good though. Went out and had a ball! I got my ass handed to me at first but by the end of the night I was going alright.

Spewing the dirt section wasnt open but it was still an awesome night 8)

There is meant to be a practice day in Newy mid july I think and then apparently back at EC before a race in August? I cant remember exactly, if people are interested I think I am on the sms list so can post details if there is interest from the NSW folk?

Big thanks to Rachael Eagle (and her mum!) for organising the practice day/night :supz:

Dear All,

This is a final call for riders for Cameron Park (Newcastle) on Saturday 19th July 2008.

If we do not get the required number of PAID bookings by Friday 27th June 2008 we will not be booking the track due to the costs.

To date we only have 7 people that have paid.

If you are interested or know anyone that is, please pass on this email ASAP. I have attached the booking form if you are interested.

For those that pre-book it will be $100.00 or $120.00 if you need a race licence...

I won't be heading up to Newcastle this time around. I can say that Rachael organises a great night of riding and the more that we can support it the better.

She is trying to get a club level championship happening next year. Mostly be run in northern NSW due to better and cheaper tracks. That is, compared to southern NSW.

How far north are we talking? I wouldnt mind getting into some racing next year but at this stage dirt track or road is looking more attractive :?

I can't recall everything she said but I am pretty sure she mentioned Newcastle, Raleigh, Coffs and Tamworth. A club based in Tamworth has let her join under their name as a separate commitee or something.
