As you know there was a parting of the ways in the EMS camp and I am now on my lonesome to a certain degree, and have brought all the contacts and markets etc with me.
Accordingly the rims are now ready and about to be landed as samples.
I have ordered a 3.5 pictured in the gallery (gold) and a 5.00" rear as Demo's to be fitted to my WRF.
Prices start at $125 retail for a drilled and anodized 2.50" x 17" GP front rim, through to 5.50" x 17 retailing for $375.00.
PM me for details for some cheap rims again... 8)

muzz can you send or put up a price list for what you have, most of the guys here want to up date there rims for wider ones and use there current ones for wets. do you have spoke sets also ,what about 16.5 fronts ? as i might be able to round up a few and place an order ,thanks
is it extra for colour ?

Shane I will put together a word document with the price list attached and email it to you OK.
I was thinking about the 16.5" fronts but wonder about volume of demand as tyres here they are still fairly thin on.
I will send data to the contracted manufacturers for assessment and get back to you but I see no real dramas with it...
No extra charge for the anodizing mate. ;)
I cannot as yet provide spokes but if there is anyone VSMR related that makes them and would like to piggy back any sales of rims, I am as usual always ready to help. Same goes for hubs.
Are you listening John?

I have 4 rear rims in 4.25" Silver (Excell) for sale ex-Yamaha Race team stock @ $275.00 each.
Also have 2 rears Rexfelgen WRP 4.25" new @ 225.00 each.
And 2 secondhand WRP removed from hubs @ $150.00 each.
All bare and 36 hole.

To save me counting spokes, what is the standard MX spoke number?
Why the big diferance in price? Some are never used secondhand and the last one is used secondhand?
What is the cond. of the cheapy?
Muzzard

36 holes for Yamaha etc, not Honda as they are 32.
The price difference is reflected by wholesale pricing like everything else Sibbo.
The Excells are new, considered the best, pay more,
The new Rexfelgens are that, new, but not considered as good,
And the third ones are second hand Rexfelgens been fitted to hubs, had tyres on them used, then removed.
Jeez Sibbo, You want cheap friggin' rims or not,
I just can't help some people.

Let me get this right, $500 for complete WR rims?
I think I know the answer but they would fit an 02 yz125 wouldn't they?
jakestein
26-09-2005, 09:29 PM
Yep but you pick em up :D
I guess they would fit without any changes?

I will add that they come with spacers, front disc(under 500km old) and I will throw in some decent knobbies.
So you could put em on say a YZ125 or even a YZ250 ;) and not need to change disc's over :D
Then you could get a nice wr450 and be like me VERY HAPPY :finga:

Hmmm.....jokes at my expense....BASTARDS!!
If I ever do ANYTHING, i will relace fat rims (not flesh you backdoor bandits) to original hubs, so dont need wheels. I will also have a dedicated motard, as dont like doing additional work, as dont have time.
It might be time to start racing MX very soon, as I added one of the BIG doubles to me can do list last weekend, at NDMX. So there is only the one left, but it is big and steep.....and will hurt if I muff it.

I saw a yz250wr motarded last night but couldn't catch (In my car!) so maybe it's time to do some walking mate not talking!!
Good to here about the track! You going there this weekend? I went to Broady last Saturday, man I'm unfit!!! I worked it out that I have only ridden MX 9 times in the last 2 1/2 years, I guess that wouldn't help.

You dirt riders are all friggin' girls.
You are heap younger than me and yet I ride anywhere from 60- 135 km loops on Matts CR125 through the forests around Eldorado.
And somewhat infrequently so its not a regular thing either.
Put your wizz bangers on the trailer and come up here for some dirt riding,
If you can handle the arm pump and pace...
VSMR membership cards... Mmmm
When we get a few more regular posters/riders then I will offer you all advantages such as cheap accessories but until then why should the silent many get advantage over those doing the work?
Sibbo

Yep, i will be at NDMX this sat. I change my number for MX, so that Blue no 8 is not me, he is really crap though!!!!hahaha so i will see you down there then Ash?
I am going to get a KX500, not a 250, as the motard kart track days are not set, so i want a bike i can ride at broady/winton and up in the hills. It will be a long time before i get off my ass and get one, but when i do.....you have seen me an a 250!!
Muzz, I will guarentee that I will beat you around my club track. Well, cos non-members cant ride and you will never be able to prove it! I dont want to go trail/enduro riding, too many tree to hit and hurt myself.

I don't suffer in the bush like on the track and it's always been that way even when I was riding at a "B" grade level. If you can put me up for a while I'll come up and go riding with you in summer if it's OK :D I would love that at least  Only problem is I wont get anywhere near 120km's out of a tank maybe 70-80. I never suffer from lack of cardio fitness though.

You will be carrying fuel, most likely 5 litres in a back pack or panniers like I used to use over the tank of my XT600.
You are more than welcome up here Ash, And summer time we spend most weekends at the river running through our trail riding area or go to NSW for a bit of track riding on a public reserve about 20km from Wagga on the Murrumbidgee.
Both nice spots, one for enduro style riding and one with a 25 year old MX track on the river flats with some of the gnarliest doubles you have ever ridden. Track consists of loam through to beach sand.
Many large 10-12' drop off style jumps followed by launch outta the hole you just dropped into.
Good fun and another riding experience for you.

Back on thread...
Rims are ready for me to bring over and lace together.
So will be organising for that to take place this week.
Shane has pretty well sold me on the 5.50" baby into the WRF...
FAT is good.
Unless you are talking about the rider...

Whats the current rim width you are running at the moment Muzz? Did that 5/5.5 go on? Is the rim tweaked a bit too the right, or still in the centre? Hows the clearence?
Muzzard

No I havent changed the rims yet...
I was sort of leaning towards the 5.00" for my bike to save any mucking around and also fit up a 5.00" to my hippy mates Katoom 300 EXC..
