Well boys it was a long drive to this race (1200 miles round trip) it was in Starke,FL, USA. Since the last update here I missed 2 races due to low funds. But in that time I also put a 13.5:1 wiseco piston in my YZ250F. I am also now using Sunoco 105 oxiginated race fuel. I have also had my subframe lowered, and raised my forks up in the trees 1.5".
I decided to try out the new MICHELIN POWER race tires, man these are some grippy tires they worked very well and I can easily get another day of racing out of them.

I qualified 1st, and I finished 3rd in the main. I was gertiing somuch traction, i could keep my feet on the pegs going around the corners, get the bike so low that i thought i was going to scrap my bar busters, I could carry so much more corner speed with these tires it was unbelievable, and i did was put my leg out at the apex ( heel still on peg but toe scraping the track) then be on the gas hard and i was pulling away from the 450's behind me. Next round is in Decatur, AL , USA which is about an 8 hr drive each way, it will be fun. I am told there will be alot of AMA guys there 450's and 525's , but i will still be racing my little o'l 250F I guess i will just have to hollar at them when i get close so they lose there concentration so i can go by :D

Nice work JR! I've heard a lot of good things about the new power series of tyres. Were you running slicks or a DOT race tyre? That'd be some nice hot and humid racing down in FL too, but guess you'd best get as much of that as possible since you're looking forward toward racing in thailand!

The tires were DOT race tires

The temp was 104 degress without the humidity, with the humidity they said it felt like 110 degress. Thank god for the air conditioned race trailer.
