Gents,

After yesterday's ride and a bit of riding today my back tyre almost looks like a slick, lol.

Does anyone have the above mentioned size tyre lying around (pref Melb pickup & fairly cheap) that they are not using & that has a little bit of life left in it. Just a temporary measure until I can afford to get the tyre I want? Not fussed on it's compound or grip factor to be honest.

Let me know,

Cheers,
Juz.

I've already got one of your used slicks here that I need to dispose of thanks. :P
I suppose I could chuck it up on the roof, no one willl notice but the police helicopter, google earth and the NSA. :P

I'd rather use the flat Rambler spare tyre than a Maxxis from the feedback I have read on them.

Anyone know who the Shinko importer is and how much their tyres are?

Prefer DOT approved tyre due to the impending Melbourne winter but will conside soft compound slick with H pattern or variant tread as a second option.

Alternatively a med/hard compound rear wet or intermediate might get me out of trouble in the meantime.

Have emailed a mate about used Supersport race tyres, I'll see if he has anything left. He used to have a whole rack full but that was ages ago.

Juz.

It's ok mate, thanks heaps for the offer but I just don't like them.

They might be a good sticky tyre but as you know I don't ride anything but tarmac (Ok, except for about 50-100 metres of grasstrack yesterday due to a stupid lapse in concentration, duh) and the profile of them scares me, they just don't look right to me, I wouldn't be confident riding on one.

I will have to try one one day though, maybe on your bike. ;) :P

The Maxxis are ok Juz. A lot better than the Avons for grip.

Kewl, thanks for the heads up Steve, I might see what I can find and give one a go if they have your approval, which I value. :)
