View Full Version : LC4 CDI Identification???

Ok LC4 owners.

Who's CDI has two tabs on it either side where it bolts on to the bike as opposed to not having the tabs and slipping into a rubber holder?

The 'Who am I?' CDI on LHS, SMC CDI on RHS.

If I can work out what bike this is from I can get the wiring diagram and possibly swap a few of the female connectors in the connector on the loom and get this to go.

Currently it keeps popping the 10 amp fuse from the ignition to the starter system. When this is popped, the bike wont crank on the starter.

Kyle if you are reading, what does the CDI on the 620SC look like?

Pretty sure my 03 640SM has the one that slips into the rubber holder so you can probably eliminate that model.

On the end of the SMC CDI is:
CB7498
5B26

I can just make out on the other one:
CU7421
7L22

He's tried to scrub it off so I know it's not the same the daft fuck.

I've been checking owners manuals and it seems that..

The 640SM and the Duke models all have 13 wire CDI's due to their dashes.

Most SM's that have the enduro dash like off the EXC's have 10 wire CDI's.
