Picked up some cheap cbr wheels for my motard conversion
off egay. Threw some michelin Pilot Powers at them and they have
fitted up nicely with only a bit of muckin round with spacers etc.
I have ordered a new rear disc from Metal Gear to fit the cbr wheel
and its bigger to suit the wr caliper.
Question is can I get a 320mm front brake kit to suit the cbr hole
pattern and offset/bracket to suit the Yamaha ????
Any thoughts would be great. :D

Most blokes go with the CBR disc and make up an adapter bracket to relocate
the OEM caliper,
Much the same as you have there ;)
Have a look at a CBR1000 and see if the stud pattern on the wheel hub isn't similar to the wheel you have. Theres cheap new wave rotors on EGay as well that are I think either 310 or 320mm

Nah, the Michelin Pilot on my ZX6 looks the same way - I don't understand it personally, I would have thought that way causes water to be chanelled towards the centre but then again, what do I know...?
EDIT: ps, bike looks great :)

HAHAHA Yeah I know should have helmet on
Was going up and down driveway slowly checking brake etc etc
when out of the blue the wife comes out with the camera, well you know
I only have so much self control when theres a camera around hahaha
So yes kids at home, ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET
Oh and I checked the front tyre direction as it looked odd to me
as well and the arrow is going the right way on both front and rear :?

The Michelins do look like they're the wrong way round. We had a bike at work the other day that handled like absolute crap. Tyre looked right but it was on back to front and had worn prematurely.
Bike looks shit hot with those wheels. I've been keeping an eye out for a set of CBR wheels but cheap ones don't seem to come up that often.
Fully polished on the wheels would be a good look.

they look like the ones from ebay for $1800
looks good, I am keen on the new WRs.
Did you drill out the bashplate or is it like that stock?

Those $1800 one's weren't even a pair, it's probably not them.

Better bugger that front guard off. It's a safety issue. If you wheelie under a low bridge you might do yourself and your bike an injury.
A Yam Blue or Black SM Front guard like an Acerbis would mitigate this risk.

Thanks for your comments everyone, Just picked up a new motard
front guard from road and river in Geelong and looks soooo much better.
Paid $355 for both wheels and a few extras off ebay. No way anyone
should pay $1800 for two alloy rims which dont even match.
Bashplate is standard yamaha.I took to it with a drill and then wire
brush to clean up the edges.
Matt from Geelong (and this forum) is organizing a 320 size front rotor
and rear rotor to sort out the brake situation. He also does powder coating
and spacing etc. and does a real neat job.
Cant wait to get it all back and go riding.
Cheers.
