A few have asked me recently about pillion pegs and dirtbikes where they are not fitted standard.
This is a set I made for my Yamaha outta some 7116T 6mm alloy plate and some $12 universal pegs.
The left hand side goes under the stand to the same mounting point with the addition of some manifold studs ex Skyline for length and strength
(Read availability in the bolt box and a ready fit  ).
The right side bolts over the rear brake master cylinder using the same bolts that secure the master cylinder.

Looks good Muzz. Did you feel that the subframe needed strengthening?

I only have ever had Tania on the back of it for any distance,
A massive 50 odd kgs
The pegs are mounted to the frame so dont interfere with the integrity of the subframe at all.
It appears quite secure at all times with Tania there.

My brother has some foot pegs on the swing arm of his xr600, they look dangerous.

And they usually are being mounted to the swingarm.
It rises and falls of course with suspension action so accordingly when there is a pillion resting feet on it, it slows the rate and can make the cornering of the bike near impossible if the pillion puts weight on them at the wrong time ..
