The chat room should be working OK ... but its not terribly integrated with the rest of the site, so you've got to sign in separately and create logins separately. When you create a login it remains active for a certain period of time and then expires ... so you have to create it again later on. I can create permanent ones tho. I looked around for a more integrated chatroom but came up empty handed, or at least as far as free ones go :?

How much for the ones we can integrate into the format better?

If you want an open chat forum you can use my IRC server.
You need to have an IRC client program on your PC, X-Chat and Mirc are the two most popular.
To connect you need to enter the server details to the client.
You can create a new Network, something like VSMR would make sense.
Then add the server address, there are two servers running..
squirrel.ma.cx/8425
woo.ma.cx/8425
Note that the standard port for IRC is 6667, we use 8425.
Then the channel name VSMR

They really don't make one that's totally integrated with the nuke software, but the one I found that did have good block support had a license cost in the thousands
The standard chat that's up now should work fine though, it just needs people to log into it so you really need to organise a time around it if you want to run a meeting or summit. Some day I might get off my arse and write a cool one myself that has a header block that shows who is on the site, who is chatting, give paging support, etc etc but way too busy with work at the mo

Yeah, exactly ... not worth it by a long shot ... i'll keep hunting around but until then the existing chat should be OK

Yeah no sweat Neil. The existing format is cool for meetings etc, and we can prearrange them anyway.
