Yep you read right.
With bugger all tracks to ride here in Adelaide Twatty and I are heading over to Melbourne to Ride the TT.
How do I confirm that there will be a track day on the 5th of Jan?
And as Twatty mentioned are there any chances of getting either another place to ride or another day at the track?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I am guessing the usual safety gear ie boots, helmet, gloves and lethers/motosuit are needed but are there any specific things we need to do to the bikes to be able to run?
Hope some of you locals can make it out and have a ride or just pop in and say hi. Great to put faces to names.
Cheers and thanks in advance.

Excellent, the only way we can get numbers to TT is if we get interstate riders
I'll be there fella's, and you dont need anything in particular to ride, just the regular protective gear, and a catch can if you can, but not compulsory.
As far as accommodation goes, I cant help you there, but I'm sure others will be able to.
Muzz has the contact details for TT, Daryl may be able to help you on a Thursday/friday, but not sure, will try find his details as Muzz is working in Melbourne at the mo, so offline more than usual

Can't wait to get over there!
What are the requirements for the bikes?
Catch can?
Sliders?
Lights / indicators taped up?
lockwire?
ETC
Is there scrutineering?
Just don't want to get over there and get knocked back for something I can fix easily at home.
Cheers

You just bring you, your bike and riding gear, and as many mates as you can.
The rest is an easily overcome obstacle ;)

OK a great day but hotter than the face of the god damn sun though.
About 14 bikes out there ripping around abeit the searing heat by 10.30.
The SA boys were going well and as keen as mustard to get on the track.
I saw them both poppin' wheelstands down the back section and Twatty aint that slow even on his Distanzia shod DRZ ;)
Nick had the CR Big smoking until a caliper bolt decided to part company unfortunately taking the caliper mount from the fork leg in the process as well as mashing the OEM caliper mounting plate.
Watch for the post in the wanted concerning CR front end or bits for a front end ;)
My bike ran faultlessly all day once I pumped the tyres back up after my offroad adventures from the 6 and 8 PSI they were during the first session.
Patter was a problem
Matt and Bear were also there with the KTM's and nicely fitted out mag wheel conversions done by Matt.
I apologise again Matt for the standing you up in the corner and figure the kicking it outta gear was a good comebback at short notice.
Dan and Kyle are in hot contention between each other for the Fastest S1 Rider title Sibbo used to hold.
Unfortunately he has now forfeited the right to call himself anything else than ' The No Show'
Even Angus throwing his hat in the ring so the fight is on with all the unlimited capacity machines
Murray V2 now holds the Title to best wheelstands and into rolling stoppie as well seeing Siddo 'The No Show' didnt front to defend the title there either.
All the same a good day out several of Sibbo/Siddo's previously coveted titles changing hands through default ;)

No probs Muzz, had a great day even with the hot weather. Pity bout Bears bike nothing but problems in the last week! He only got 2 laps under his belt for the whole day :( Last ride for me for a while. My wife is pregnant with twins and she needs all the help she can get keeping our almost 2 yr old son at bay! Look forward to another crack in a while :D

Was great to finaly get back to TT, shame about the heat, even so we still got in quite a few sessions. Great to meet some new faces, always good to see riders at TT. Competition is very fierce now with all this new machinery, i was able to stick with Angus & the drz( sorry forget your name) i finaly managed to finish scrubbing in the pilots. Things did get a little bit hot when i was greeted with a witches hat in my line and a brief encounter with the tyre wall has left me very sore. Whats a little pain between friends hey ;) I got a lot of strange looks at the seymour fuel stop as i hobbled in to pay. Was a great day out all the same, as always great to get together with you guys & greet newbies, i need Craig to come back & take my job as sweep  Thanks guys, look forward to more ride reports & photos

Well, the Fastest S1 Mouth in the South never made an appearance, just as well, because my front end patter is all but gone thanks to my new soft Pirelli front, WOW, what a difference good tyres can make.
Anyway, it would have been too hot for your grade 6 body to cope with Brett, so your unsportsmanlike (read abject, chicken*, coward, cowardly, craven, faint-hearted*, feeble, irresolute, lily-livered*, pusillanimous, spineless*, submissive, unmanly, weak) decision to wuss-out of the challenge on Saturday probably saved you from heat exhaustion, as well as the complete humiliation of being beaten by riders from S1, S2 and S3 classes.
I had a great day, even managed to pass the flying Muzz on one occasion, I'll wallow in that glory for some time, even though he got faster and faster as the day went by, my mission accomplished ;)
Then I rode Kyles bike (Husky 570), wow, what a strange thing, to change bikes, it felt slow compared to mine, but quite pleasant and easy to ride, quite vibey though, and a much bigger unit than the Kato, I was really enjoying myself on it.
Not a cart to be seen until about 2pm again, so we were utterly gifted in having the entire place to ourselves, we really are fortunate with TT on our doorstep!
Great to meet the SA boys, they were a good laugh and I hope to see you guys back again soon, it was a great turnout with the old regular crew in attendance again (Muzz, Dave, Kyle and now Dan and Nick) but good to See Angus, Matt and Glen again, Juz made a support appearance too, he was gutted to not see the greatest Victorian S1 No-Show in action
Bring on the next one...

Wow, what a weekend!
By the time we got home last night I was one very tired and cranky boy and just about threw everything off the ute (sorry 'bout that Greeny).
But Saturday was definatly worth it, not just for the track, but all the guys in attendance were bloody good blokes and it was great to meet all of you.
The DR-Z ran great all day and with suspension set up as per Shane and Stretch's advice (thanks for the PM stretch) didn't put a foot wrong untill the rear snapped out on me right in front of Muzzard (now you know what I'm talking about ;) ) And words of advice from everyone was greatly appreciated, I think I backed it in a few times instead of just doing skids up to corners :) , and found I could catch most of the big bores pretty much everywhere only to be left standing on the straight  need more power! If I was in front though I struggled to go as quick, maybe more track knowledge is needed.
Dave made the best save I've ever seen right in front of me, running over a cone then bouncing that big blue DR off the fence, flicked a couple of truck tires onto the track , then just kept on powering on over the hill, absolutly amazing. Hope the leg's OK mate.
Apologies to Muzzard, I was only told after you had left but I think I nearly put you into the tyres as well, sorry bout that
It was bloody hot though, and hard work for a fat man like me, by the arvo we were only going out for about 10-15 laps at a time before cramps set in. I'll have to start training for the next trip over.
I'll try and get the pics and vid posted soon fellas.
Thanks for an awesome weekend,
Lindsay

Sounds like a great day. I always seem to miss the big turnout ones. :(
Maybe the heat was a good thing, keeping the riding a little more subdued or it sounds like there could have been some real carnage  .
Shame about the CR. I've got to say, I've never really heard of bikes losing caliper bolts until recently but now this is like the third incident in a month or so :? . I keep mine lockwired just for scrutineering sake, but it sounds like a good idea, racing or not!
