We as a Club base, although not yet associated under the Act, have been invited to attend the Annual Winton Historic Motor Racing Festival to be held on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of October...
This invite is extended after much hard work by me to get the use of the circuit in the long term once again for motards as we have unfortunately walked the shitty shoes of those who were responsible for the loutish behaviour and the pigging up of the pit garages accordingly seeing us frowned apon because of our choice of machine.
WE NEED TO SUPPORT THIS EVENT!
It is only offered at the moment for a static display to be staged by us, BUT,.. we are excluded from the riding part of the Parade held both days because of the previous issue.
I intend to address this with Karl at the track prior to the event so we may yet get to prove ourselves as seperate entities.
The flyer attached when Neil gets around to doing it explains the weekend a bit, offering accommodation which is a boon to us as a group as I have some good equipment for camping comfortably ;) ...

We need to get enough different styles and makes of bikes there for the display with as many useable advantage accessories fitted, like big tanks, trick bits etc...
I am hoping we can encourage a few bikes from sheds with the reasonable weather thats on offer about that time of year here and the freebie tickets...
Neil can bring his Supermono for folks to wonder over, I might take a Cow and a calf,.. and all the bikes we can muster can only be an advantage to us to get a better foothold in the form of support from Karl as he is also a local bloke and a mate of Ricks.
He is not unfamiliar with supermotard as earlier mentioned and has said the spotlight is on us to a certain degree to impress with support and professionalism of character..

Who would be interested in a weekend of looking at Historics including aircraft for free,
Ash will have to work there, so we already know we will see you there mate

As messed up up as I may be at this moment I can/will lend my bike to the weekend . Maybe the rat bike as well pitcure up soon.
I went to winton for the supercars and it was great :)

With a motard bike ,a street bike of a custom nature ,and a mini motard, I am keen to show up :D
If 5% of the area is towards stands/demo/.... it will be great
The wine tasting sounds great :)

Yep I am there in property or person either way sound like a step foward.

I reckon the winton short track or is it the club track is awsome for motard use.

when is the latest time that I/we can confirm that we are going?

As I don't want to do a "Insert name of person who pulls out" and pull out when I said I was going to go.

I'll send a photo from when I was young it used to happen all the time, just the person doing it changed. first when I was very young it was my sister then I got bigger, then my parents, once again I got bigger, then as I got to teenage years it was the police then I got wiser.

No response as yet from Karl at Winton regards the Historics,
So with this sort of notice I would suggest we give it a miss...
Unless something gives this week, I will email him telling of our withdrawl Friday.

Ray Wason, (Ricks Father) came over and asked me reference the Winton Historics as Karl had contacted him to see what we were doing?
Anyway the decision has been made to let it pass.
This is for a few reasons,
Firstly, short notice on behalf of Winton management and secondly because no matter how many of us front up, we would not be included in any Parade like all other entrants/displays owing to the Winton Managements dislike of motards.
Thanks to the cockheads riding motards in the pit garages and track burnouts incident.

And they can kiss my arse for the 'world record wheelstand attempt' venue due for next year.
(Most riders on one wheel simultaneously.)
