Hey guys ... by now you've probably seen the strange little advert thing up the top right now ... we're started hosting some simple adverts from google that we're hoping will just help to pay for the running costs of the site. They're pay on click, so if you're interested in something then you can have that warm and fuzzy feeling that your interest will go into helping us :D
We're a non-proffit organisation, so any proceeds additional to the cost of running the site will go into further site development or into benefits for its members, and might be a way of funding some giveaways etc.
One thing I would ask though is that nobody abuse the system and go through some rampant cliking to artificially increase the click stats. This sort of thing is fairly easy to detect, and while we appreciate the sentiment, will just get us blacklisted from google :(
So tell your friends, family, relatives, etc :)

"just get us blacklisted from google"
is there any worse punishment in this day and age?

I'd say having your nuts slowly crushed in a vice by a blind and deaf woman who thinks she is winding a window open would have to rate pretty highly

the nut(s) and vice option is possibly worse than the day when no bike manufacture makes a two stroke. Both will bring a tear to the eye, one might be from the old two stroke the i will be forced to ride that will be spewing shit every where!!

Ok, the google ads are almost out of here, but I want to make the last 4 bucks so that they pay us out  So dont forget to click on the google ads on the page top for things you are genuinely interested in, especially if they happen to be over the course of the next week so we can piss them off and get up some advertising for a main site sponsor :D

I am going to actively start canvassing for site support as soon as the track day deals are done so we can rest assured a bit there.
I just dont have enough hours in the day now.
Bike Mart in Ringwood would be the first place I would be going if handy to them, putting the bite on them for Track day support/Site Sponsorship, either by means of cash injection or monthly giveaways for raffles to be held at the track days...
Best option is the supply of accessories at wholesale plus % and raffle them for the cash generation to be utilised through the site admin and track days.
I have no doubt that Daryl will see the advantage of a link and sponsorship with the volume of bikes we have the capacity to generate into income for the track, when its the only place for motard so far.
I will see if there is a method of ex-gratia we can arrange between us to assist in the site upkeep. ;)
After all he is a businessman and one with foresight in Motard..
