Hi Guys
To say i had a shocker is a understatement :? :? :? i just could not get it together on the dirt and with 4 crashes in practice on friday what little pace i had soon went .
i qualified on the second row on sat morning in the first race i ended up getting thrown over the bars landing off a jump sideways i got up and finished getting back passed some guys {on the tar :) } the next 2 races i was just to slow in the dirt not wanting to crash yet again but on the tar the guys where holding me up so i went no where .
sunday i had my first crash on the tar in qualifing  i lost the front on the first fast right hander after the dirt .the first and second race went much the same making up loads on ground and getting held up on the tar only to loose it all again in the dirt :( :( . race 3 on the first or second lap i missed a gear going into the dirt , when i got back on the gas the bike wheeled out of the cormer :? :? it took 2 days and loads of crashes to work out i was a gear to low through the dirt section all of a sudden i was not loosing anything on the dirt and still making ground on the tar , i felt loads better a was catching a group of 4 guys in front of me , as i got close coming into the dirt i went for the rear brake and the was none the lock bolt had come undone and the peddle had come off the plunger so i had to just try to stay up right and finish .
at least i worked out what the problem was and will be on it next time in qld , i still come away happy as i could run with just about anyone there on the tar bits :D :D ,so its dirty practice for me for the next month at home with the slicks on .
Martin ,my new jackson racing leathes where great they where the best looking leathers there and handle crash damage very very well as i had 6 for the weekend

what an awesome weekend of racing!!!!!
me and a mate went down on sunday for a look, got there just as the first race was starting :D
we both had never seen motard racing in the flesh before and we both loved it(i just washed my xr and am putting it for sale today :) )
hey shane i think i got a few photos of you coming into turn one, do u wear armour under your leathers or do you just have massive shoulders? you looked huge from behind ! had a look at your setup in the pits, very nice bikes, i love the brake ducting on one of the aprilla's.
cant wait to get a motard now !

Hi mate , no armor under my leathers :-}}}}
the Aprilia with the brake duct hoses was macio949's ,there was another bike still in the trailer as well, as paul wasnt riding sunday because of a huge crash coming onto the dirt in his last race and last lap on sat , we are about to take him the the hosp now, i think he has a broken pelvis :-{{{{{

Guys, the first thing I have to say is please, yes please stop crashing on my corner :D

Was a good weekend of racing with some aweseome rides (Ando from last on Saturday and Reekie on Sunday from last to first) and good close hard racing.

Som of the jumps and dirt action had to be seen when watched in context of a race as guys overtook others based purely on how far they jumped off the jump at the top of the hill. The downhill after that into the 90 degree off camber left was a mighty difficult corner which saw plenty of action over the weekend and left many a bruise on a few riders. Unfortunately it was incredibly dusty so I didn't get many shots (will post later).

Hopefully the VSMR victims will be feeling ok today although I expect they may be very sore, but I can say I never realised how light a motard actually was until I picked yours up Devo (will let you tell that one). :D

Thanks for the fun and action guys and may even get to Calder or Ipswich (not likely, just maybe).

Yes, your physique and bodyart did cause some comments in the tower as you walked out to collect Paul's bike on Saturday.

Words along the lines of 'you tell him, nah you tell him, not me, have you seen the size of him' were apparently uttered, all in good fun though I might add.

You kissing the dirt like the bloody Pope Shane,
Steve as well,
Hope you all shaped up OK this morning
and Paul is not too badly injured ;)

From the pain the poor fella was in (paul) I wouldn't be surprised if it was something significant. Ouch.

I'm all good and the bike is fine, not the best results-wise but the SA boys had it covered for the novice class. Nice to meet you both.

Like Gary was saying, the dirt section was mayhem, especially with 30 people on our grid. Lots of clashes and bumping of bars. Went over one jump connected solid with another bike. Couldn't get away until we landed and my gear lever snapped and I landed on my head. :( DNF.

Had another DNF after a silly frontbrake/highside incident which I may be getting some photos of. :D :D :D Ended up with the bike on top of me, that's what Gary was talking about, so many thanks there mate. ;) Very professional too.

Lots of fun though. Bring on Qld round.

Ouch, not good to hear about Paul - hope you finally got him to hospital to get him checked out. At least I got some good photos of him before he crashed. Makes it all worthwhile??

It was a great weekend - and had an awesome time. Although it did make me realise; I'm going to have to get my arse into gear and get my bike on the track. (Paying for it first might be the first step; hey Rob? :P ) There are only so many photos I can take before I start to get jealous!

I'll post up photos - probably tomorrow. I would have tonight except my mum bribed me with home cooked roast. So there wasnt much choice in the matter.

Will post up a link tomorrow. Got some great ones when I had a quick look before. Cross fingers some of them were of you guys. :)

Roast is ready. :D Must dash.

Sorry if there are only a couple up of you boys - but I've got a heap more (like another 100 or so  ). Gordon made sure I at least got a couple up of you for now :)

I'm heading over to the states for work and only been given 3 days notice.... so I'm sort of busy trying to organise everything!

I'll post up the rest at some stage. :)

Brakes are sweet Jove. No less controllable than the shitty MX ones, but a lot more powerful, and not a hint of fade. Im yet to put on my new M/C. Used a standard SXV one kindly loaned by Shane for the weekend.

Yeah, I'm sweet Muzz. Just had a few twinges here and there, and a bit of bruising now. Nothing like Paul!

Havent got any off him yet Garry. And yeah, I've seen all of those. Very embarrassing.  Another case of hanging onto it for too long and just ending up crashing anyway and looking even more unco in the process.

geez shane your style is very agressive.

how are u rating the aussie guys here compared to pom land

the top 3-4 guys here in aus in s1 and s2 are very good but in the uk you would be talking about the top 15-20 guys in each class , then you have have Iddon, Winstanley ,Warren another 1-2 sec a lap faster again .
but its just down to the grid size 450 class had around 60-70 entrys with the open class 130-140 you get 10 min of timed practice/qualifying top 30 to A class next 30 to B class etc etc after the first race the top 2 in B,C and D jump up to the next class so you end with grids of 32 bikes per class .

as for my style i have been told that a lot, guess if you cant beat them scare them :D :D :D
